Godspeed You! Black Emperor | Oct 2, 2012 | @uniontransfer, Philadelphia Found this video of Godspeed You! Black Emperor from 2012 in Philadelphia on a 2 GB card that I've literally never seen that I took before. It's a terrible video, but nonetheless I'm shocked to discover its existence. This is the only show I've ever fallen asleep at; not to do with the band at all (I adore GY!BE), but because I had woken up for work at around 7 AM, taught 8th graders all day, drove by myself a couple hours from NJ to Philadelphia directly after getting out of work, didn't eat much (if anything), and got there totally exhausted. Add to that the droning sounds and dark ambience of their shows, and I was finding my eyelids like heavy weights while standing up behind the soundboard. Still, I stayed the whole time, got home very late, and rolled out of bed the next morning to work again. Hoping to see them again sometime under easier circumstances.

🌟 Today, let’s dive into a hot topic: the business change giving facilities at a local Post Office! 📬✨ Many small businesses are unaware that this is actually a paid service. We get approached 3-4 times daily, and it’s tough to say no without hurting feelings. 💔 Let’s keep it friendly and understanding! Remember, kindness goes a long way. 😊💖 #SmallBizSupport #PostOfficeTalks

My heart is breaking watching what’s happening in Freeport the place that built me, the community I love. Our home is being torn apart… not by outsiders, but by the very people who are supposed to protect our children the Freeport School Board. Parents, we can’t stay silent anymore. Our kids are sitting in classrooms without teachers. A respected, senior Assistant Principal was involuntarily transferred with zero plan for the students left behind. The Union President was pushed out of the High School to Dodd simply for speaking up. The message being sent? Speak out and you’ll be punished. That’s not leadership. That’s intimidation. Our teachers are working in fear. Our students are suffering. And our community is being divided. As a proud Freeport parent, proud alum, and one of Freeport’s biggest supporters I refuse to sit back while our district crumbles. We owe our kids better. We owe our teachers better. We owe our community better. Stand up. Speak out. Freeport we must fight for our future before it’s too late. They say trust the process but you can't trust a process that has no vision or transparency. Lie after lie!!! Eddie “Truck” Gordon
