DAY IN THE LIFE! - Coast Guard Cadet at the Air Force Academy. For this past week, I have been Larping Air Force as a true Coast Guard cadet in the military. This is truly a very surreal military service Academy experience, but one that I wouldn’t give up for the world. FOLLOW FOR MORE!!! #usafa #airforce #militarylife #militarylifestyle #uscg

I’m smiling in every frame, but it’s a mask. I don’t think I’m the only one who’s put on a brave face to go to work or show up in the world. It protects me from questions like “are you ok?” And “what happened?” Questions I might not be ready to answer. If you’ve ever put on a smiling face to avoid questions, or even to trick yourself into thinking things are alright, you are seen. If you’ve ever tried to be strong but inside you want to break, you are seen. It takes WORK to get to a place where you have a strong foundation. From the time I entered the United States Air Force Academy, my foundation was cracked. Why? I was living for other people, not myself. Please don’t misunderstand that I did join to do something bigger than myself. I wanted to protect and serve our country and defend its ideals. Our people and their freedoms. But if you’ve been in, you know this phrase: “why you join is never why you stay.” And like many others, I stayed for the people. Specifically the Airmen who do all of the work but get little credit. I am so proud of the Airmen who I worked with and have taught me everything I know about leadership and what it means to show up. To them I say THANK YOU and you were my reason for getting up in the morning. These videos are meant to be a different perspective for those who are in and an inspiration for those thinking about leaving. Feel free to follow for more about my journey/next chapter 🙏🏽

It’s PFT time again! The PFT (Physical Fitness Test) is made up of 5 events: pull-ups, long jump, crunches, pushups, and a 600-yard run! The top score to max out all events is 500/500. #flyfightwin⚡️ #usafa #airforceacademy
