You don’t even have to work in entertainment to have experienced these fakers. We all know that person who always “missing you” and asks “where you been brother?! I love you man!” and it’s like when did we ever speak like this before? We only seen each other like 3 times? Talked like 4 sentences? Every networking event they act like everyone is their best friend they have so much history with everyone. It’s a red flag and a weak game, it’s no different than a stripper telling all her customers they’re special and not like the other guys. We barely met man, you throw around the word love to everyone which loses its true value and meaning. I don’t trust anyone that spills out intimate words so lightly. Also these types of people typically have horrendous reputations that surround them. They seem to somehow screw over everyone that they love so much, odd right? How to spot out the fakers 1. Too quick to love bomb without any rapport or reason 2. Butters you up with compliments then strikes with a favor 3. Promising things (and not following thru) when you didn’t even ask 4. Asking for favors before you even know them 5. “I miss you so much we need to catch up” (n then no actual attempt to hang) 6. Name drops heavily 7. Talks a lot and wont listen to others 8. Shares way too intimate details with strangers to try and connect 9. Has a sob story for everything 10. Calls you brother and best friend when there’s nothing that merits it Have you dealt with these types?
