Respiratory therapists (RT) provide essential, life-saving care every day. With over 160 RTs working across the #UTSouthwestern health system, these individuals support and manage patients with respiratory issues and cardiopulmonary conditions.   During the COVID-19 pandemic, our RTs worked diligently in our hospitals and clinics to treat patients with respiratory difficulties. Thanks to them, we are able to receive accurate diagnoses, treatments, and care for patients with respiratory issues, enhancing our ability to provide better patient care and quality of life.   Join us in thanking our RTs today as we celebrate #RespiratoryCareWeek!   Disclaimer: No real patients are shown. Scenes in the video are reenactments with volunteers and medical manikins.
