Don’t usually do covers …. This is a little different……. I briefly met Bryan in 1996 when I was in the band Del Amitri. We opened for him at Wembley Stadium that Summer. The band were just unreal! With the outrageous Mickey Curry on drums touring the 18 TIL I Die album, which this track (I Think About You.) is off. I didn’t bump into Bryan until many years later, when in 2019 he was rehearsing in the next room to where I was rehearsing in London. He came in and introduced himself to the room and the long of the short of it, ended up hiring me to do some promo gigs with Mads Hauge and Phil Thornalley. The gigs were excellent and Bryan proved to be an absolute real one!!! So lucky to have felt that energy from not only Bryan but Sinead O’Connor, Seal, Van Morrison, Adele, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and many more… “it” is becoming harder to find but they are out there!!!! Anyway, what better Snare to play with this track but this @dunnettclassicdrums StereoPly beaut! It just sits nice. @bryanadams #recording #drums #windmillstudio

John Lee Hooker & Van Morrison: Blues Chemistry in Their “Baby Please Don’t Go” Live Performances John Lee Hooker and Van Morrison forged an unmistakable blues partnership on stage, most famously during their live renditions of the blues standard “Baby Please Don’t Go” in the early 1990s. Hooker anchored these performances with his signature hypnotic boogie guitar style and deep, gravelly vocals, while Van Morrison stood alongside him on harmonica, trading phrases and driving the groove with sharp, energetic bursts. What set these collaborations apart was the genuine musical connection between the two artists. As a longtime student of American blues music, Morrison brought years of influence and devotion to the stage—performing less like a celebrity guest and more like an immersed disciple of the blues tradition. The dynamic interplay between Hooker’s slow, heavy rhythm and Morrison’s restless, driving harmonica lines created an electric, unscripted energy—more reminiscent of an intimate blues club jam session than a polished television broadcast. These John Lee Hooker and Van Morrison performances remain celebrated moments in blues history, showcasing raw musicianship, authentic call-and-response energy, and the enduring power of classic blues collaboration.

In 1976, The Last Waltz marked the farewell concert of The Band’s original lineup, staged on Thanksgiving night at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The night brought together a once-in-a-generation lineup of guests including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, and Ringo Starr, all sharing the stage for one final, deliberate goodbye. Though it closed the chapter on the original era, it wasn’t the end of the music. The Band reunited in 1983 and continued performing in various forms through 1999, extending their legacy far beyond that night. The Last Waltz endures not because it was an ending, but because it captured a moment when rock history paused, gathered its elders, and took itself seriously enough to say goodbye properly. #music #livemusic #rock #history #popculture

Released in 1967, this song became Van Morrison’s signature hit and has remained one of the most-played songs in the history of radio, weddings, backyard barbecues, and dive bands everywhere 🎸🌞 It’s one of those songs where almost everyone jumps in from the very first line… which makes this wrong lyric even harder to believe 😂 that YOU STILL don’t know the words 🤣 #vanmorrison #browneyedgirl #genx #wronglyrics #misheardlyrics
