Someone told me to stop romanticizing travel with kids… so here’s a realistic travel day with kids The alarm was set for 5:30 am, but of course our toddler decided to function as the alarm at 5:15 am. There was the obvious food anxiety and overbuying snacks, followed by a lovely feeling of being corralled like cattle, followed by 2.5 hours of wrestling a 10-month-old alligator who refuses to nap until the last 5 minutes. We landed in The Netherlands missing a sock, a bit of our sanity, and any illusion of control. And still… We looked at each other and thought, this was worth it. Why? Because we get to experience new cultures, foods, sights and sounds with the people we love the most. While travel with kids isn’t exactly “romantic,” perhaps I do romanticize it. Here’s my take - parenting is hard whether you’re at home or halfway across the world. The difference is that travel inspires and empowers us. It pulls us out of autopilot and gets us living in the moment. It bonds our family in a way that routine never could. So yes… it’s chaotic. Yes… it’s exhausting. But so is parenting at home. And yes… it’s absolutely worth it. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book the trip with your kids… this is it. Book the trip. Book @Allianztravelus

My brain craves peace, routine, greenery all around, different kinds of animals to cuddle, fresh home cooked food and human connection. We headed to @vaksanafarms a few weeks back yearning for exactly that and all i can say is that our souls felt very satisfied :) We are deeply curious about the way they live. Mr. Kiruba Shankar and his family have created a wonderland in Vaksana and are so happy to share so much about how they do what they do. His mother, his father, their entire village at Vaksana make you feel so much at home, it’s unbelievable. Some places don’t feel like a business, it just isnt - they’ve opened up their beautiful home for us to share. I cannot recommend this place enough. Like i said in the video, it’s perfect for a weekend reset or if youre looking for something deeper, then you just must book your stay right away. There’s so much to observe and learn.
