ADVAITA VEDANTA EXPLAINED #advaitavedanta #explained
Swami Vivekananda was one of India's most influential spiritual leaders, philosophers, and social reformers. Born as Narendranath Datta in Kolkata in 1863, he was a disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Vivekananda played a key role in introducing Indian philosophy, especially Vedanta and Yoga, to the Western world. He gained international fame after his inspiring speech at the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago, where he began with the famous words, "Sisters and Brothers of America." He emphasized self-confidence, service to humanity, universal brotherhood, and the spiritual unity of all religions. He believed that education should build character, strengthen the mind, and make individuals self-reliant. In 1897, he founded the Ramakrishna Mission, which continues to work in education, healthcare, and social service. His teachings continue to inspire millions of people around the world, especially young people, to pursue strength, wisdom, and selfless service.

In Advaita Vedanta, consciousness (Chit) is considered the fundamental reality behind all experience. It is not something produced by the brain or body, but the self-luminous awareness through which thoughts, sensations, and the world are known. Advaita identifies this consciousness with Atman, the true Self, and ultimately with Brahman, the non-dual reality. The body and mind are constantly changing, while consciousness is regarded as the unchanging witness of these changes. Realizing that one’s true nature is this consciousness, rather than merely the body or mind, is central to attaining moksha (liberation).

He left Patna at 19 with a tiffin box, bedding, and no English.
Anil Agarwal was born in 1954 into a Marwari family in Patna, where his father ran a small aluminium conductor business. He finished school at Miller High School and never went to college.
In Mumbai he started by trading scrap metal, collecting it from cable companies in other states and selling it in the city. In 1976 he took a bank loan and bought Shamsher Sterling Corporation, a maker of enamelled copper. For the next ten years he ran both businesses at once.
In 1986 he put up a factory for jelly-filled cables and founded Sterlite Industries. Then he noticed the problem that would shape everything after.
His profits swung wildly, and not because of anything he was doing. They moved with the price of copper and aluminium, his raw materials. He was building a business whose fortunes were decided by markets he had no control over.
So he decided to stop buying the metals and start making them.
In 1993 Sterlite became the first private sector company in India to set up a copper smelter and refinery. In 2001 he acquired 51 percent of BALCO, then a majority stake in Hindustan Zinc. In 2003 Vedanta listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Today Vedanta is India's largest non-ferrous metals and mining company, spanning zinc, aluminium, copper, iron ore, oil and gas.
The scrap dealer's real insight wasn't metal. It was that if your input costs decide your profits, you don't own your business yet.

What if I told you that even the King of the Gods forgot who he truly was? 🐷⚡

He became so attached to his new life that he refused to return to heaven.
Sounds unbelievable? Yet this ancient story reveals one of the deepest truths about human attachment, identity, ego, and the illusion we call “reality.”
This conversation with Apex Mind will make you question:
Are we also living like Indra… forgetting who we really are?
Watch till the end. This story might change the way you see your own life.

He Failed at 9 Businesses Before Building a Global Mining Empire
Meet Anil Agarwal, the scrap metal trader from Patna who became known as India's "Metal King."
Born in 1954 to a Marwadi family in Patna, Bihar, Agarwal's father ran a small aluminum conductor business. Rather than pursue university, Anil joined the family trade early, then left for Mumbai at 19 with little more than a tiffin box and bedding. What followed was nearly a decade of failure: nine different business attempts, all of which collapsed, leaving him financially strained but not deterred.
He found his footing in an unglamorous place: scrap metal, collecting it from cable companies across India and reselling it in Mumbai. In 1976, he acquired Shamsher Sterling Corporation, an enameled copper manufacturer, laying the groundwork for Vedanta Group. In 1986, he established Sterlite Industries, and from there expanded aggressively into aluminum, zinc, copper, iron ore, oil and gas, and power, through major acquisitions including stakes in Bharat Aluminium Company and Hindustan Zinc.
In 2003, Agarwal became the first Indian businessman to list a company, Vedanta Resources, on the London Stock Exchange, turning a domestic mining operation into a genuinely global conglomerate. More recently, in 2022, Vedanta partnered with Foxconn on a roughly $20 billion plan to build semiconductor and display glass plants in Gujarat, pushing the group into an entirely new industry.
He's pledged 75% of his wealth to philanthropic causes through the Vedanta Foundation, and by most accounts still keeps things simple, a strict vegetarian who prefers cycling to the trappings his wealth could easily buy.
Nine failures, one scrap metal business, and a company that now spans continents.
