Hard to describe how cool it is to see your slide film projected irl! This is a mix of Fuji Velvia and Flic Film's respooled Ektachrome that I developed at home with Unicolor's Rapid E6 Kit. For most shots I just trusted my Nikon FE's exposure meter, but had to make some judgment calls or use a manual fill flash for a few of them. My fav camera settings are now on @fujixweekly 💚 Velvia Film Simulation Shadows & Highlights +2 Color +4 Whitebalance at 6590 Red -9 Blue 0 These settings make the foundation for this look straight out of camera on my X-H2S and all other Fujifilm cameras I have. Doesn’t matter if its video, still images, or multi exposures. Of course, all of this is heavily inspired by the movies like the Matrix and Fallen Angels. I’ve always been kind of reluctant to publishing my own Fujifilm “recipe” since I share my settings all the time with you all but after many questions it is here now. Thank you Ritchie! FujiXWeekly has been holding it down for years now, his dedication and impact he has on the Fujifilm community is truly special and I feel very grateful to call him a friend and be included in his legacy. This is a little cheat code I have been messing with. Slide film is unreal to shoot. Fuji Velvia is pure magic. The problem is actually printing it. The paper and chemistry to do it the proper way basically do not exist anymore. So I decided to try something weird. I exposed RA 4 color paper in the darkroom. Developed it in black and white chemistry to turn it into a black and white negative. Re exposed that print to light. Then ran it through normal RA 4 color chemistry to bring it back as a positive color image. This is my first time ever doing a color reversal print. The image was shot on Velvia 50 in Hawaii a few years ago. Honestly I am pretty stoked on how this one came out!
