Dez & Vintij continue on their pilgrimage to #SolAwakening , as they discuss the #gentrification of #HipHop , #spirituality and the #soulution that is unfolding before us.
During the festival, be sure to tap in with us, to see how we can build together. But we must build TOGETHER. There is space for all archetypes, all roles, all sets of knowledge in this regenerative ecosystem. If you don't feel like you have something solid to offer up to the collective yet, know you can support by commenting, sharing and liking the social media posts of those who are active and in the front lines of this spiritual war. Or connect them to others who'd be down to collaborate and execute missions together. There is light at the end of the tunnel, fam. Let's keep pushing.

A little recap video of my experience at Sol Awakening.
It felt like a dream to be in the presence of so many (r)evolutionary individuals, especially melanated ones, in a "spiritual" festival setting. Special shout outs to the OG @dahveednelson of @thelastpoetsofficial for holding down such a divine frequency. I remember going to other "spiritual" festivals in the past, but rarely seeing any Black & Brown bodies there, nor were there any Hip Hop vibes. Though, being the universal soul I am, I still made some dope connections and learned a lot at the other "spiritual" festivals. But as much as we want to say that the color of our skin doesn't matter...it does. We cannot dismiss any layer of our being. Having a high concentration of melanin does come with a narrative that many, not all, non-melanated folks don't seem to genuinely acknowledge, and so the interaction, at times, are lackluster. It's as if you were going through something extremely traumatic (for example: a "jenoside") but then someone is talking...at you about their home decor. But beyond the skin tone, it's really about the individuals in these "spiritual" spaces who aren't genuinely tuned in, nor are they mindful of the pre-existing inhabitants, yet take up so much space. We need more Black & Brown bodies in these spaces, with honor, and of the universal soul.
But circling back, that's why I'm so grateful for Sol Awakening. It was truly a dream come true, to see so much melanin in a conscious festival setting without feeling the need to code switch and shit. We tuned in...even if we use slang, ya huuurd.
Gratitude to all those who contributed their feelings, their wisdom, their love to the Awakening of this Sol. See yall at the next one, whenever it is. Unless yall wanna join us over at @theinfinitynexus ...
Infinite love, familia.
