We are so excited to offer this beautiful violin by George Klotz circa 1770. We have seen many Klotz Violins in our time working in various shops but there’s just something so special about this one. German violins aren’t as sought after, but they have so much to offer at a fraction of the price of some of the older French and Italian counterpart. What do you think?

You’ve definitely played Vivaldi’s Storm — one of his most famous and dramatic pieces.
Here you’ll hear just one violin, but imagine the power when there are two!
The sound becomes fuller, richer, and completely electrifying.
Try our arrangement of Storm for two violins and experience Vivaldi in a whole new way.
The sheet music is available via the link in our bio, or just comment “Storm” and we’ll send you the link.🎻
We need to stop violins right now… they’re causing treble everywhere. 🎻🎶

Introducing an unusual bass viola da gamba. 🎻
With an arched back and violin-shaped corners, this instrument resembles a violoncello but still has the configuration of a viola da gamba, featuring frets, six strings, and a wider fingerboard.
The Italian cities of Modena and Bologna had become important epicenters for the development of larger members of the violin and viol families because metal-wound strings were developed in that area. This particular instrument was constructed in Modena, Italy, circa 1675 by Antonio Casini.
Demonstrations by Jordi Savall and Gerald Trimble on the bass viola da gamba can be heard in this video.
Learn more about the viola da gamba, and many other extraordinary instruments from Europe by visiting our current special exhibition, Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars.
