A day surrounded by the wild nature in Wicklow 🍀🇮🇪 Stops along the way: 📍 Glandelough National Park 📍 Ballinastoe Woods 📍 Glenmacnass Waterfall 📍 Lough Tay Lake - also known as Guinness Lake #wicklow #ireland #irelandtravel #nature #wanderlust
Wicklow has a heart 🩷 POV: You found the most romantic spot in Ireland 🇮🇪❤️ I hiked 2 hours into the Wicklow Mountains for this view and honestly… my heart stayed at the top. 📍 Lough Ouler, Co. Wicklow (The Heart Shaped Lake) • The Practical Stuff (Save for later!): • Distance: ~1 hour drive from Dublin. • Parking: Park at Glenmacnass Waterfall (it’s tiny, go early!). • The Hike: It’s a bit of a scramble and VERY boggy , waterproof boots are a must. • Tip: The best view of the “heart” is from the side of Tonelagee Mountain. Have you been here yet or is it still on the bucket list? Tag your hiking buddy! #wicklowmountains #irelandtravel #discoverireland #indiansinireland #dublinhikes
Hidden deep in the Wicklow Mountains lies the breathtaking Lough Tay — often called the “Guinness Lake.” 🌿⛰️ With its dark waters and bright sandy shoreline, it looks just like a perfect pint set in the heart of Ireland’s wild landscape. A view that never gets old. 📍 Lough Tay, Wicklow, Ireland #LoughTay #WicklowMountains #ExploreIreland #VisitWicklow
POV: You followed the sign and ended up in Llangollen ❤️ Nestled between the River Dee and the Clwydian hills, this little North Wales gem feels like a postcard come to life 🏞️ Tag who you’re bringing on your Welsh road trip 🚗✨ #llangollen #northwales #wales #visitwales #welshroadtrip
Wicklow let’s go go gowwwwww ☺️😉 📍Wicklow, Ireland #wicklowireland #ireland #memories #travel #discoverireland
There’s nothing quite like a hike in the Wicklow Mountains… and the Spinc walk in Glendalough never disappoints 🌿 Starting by the Upper Lake, the trail winds through forest and along the valley floor before climbing high above the lake on the famous Spinc boardwalk. It’s a bit of a climb (over 600 steps at the start!) but the reward is simply breathtaking – sweeping views over the glacial valley and the shimmering Upper Lake far below. Along the way we passed the old Miner’s Village, a reminder of the valley’s fascinating mining history, before looping back along the lakeshore. It’s about a 9km hike and takes around 3–4 hours, but every step is worth it for those stunning views. After all that fresh mountain air, lunch tasted even better – a delicious open sandwich topped with smoked salmon and prawns on Irish Soda Bread. Simple, fresh and perfect after a good walk ♥️ The best part? Glendalough is right on the doorstep of @ballyknocken, making it the perfect day out when you’re staying with us here. A little adventure, spectacular scenery, and a lovely lunch at the end. What more could you want? #IrelandTravel #VisitWicklow #HiddenIreland #HikingIreland #TravelIreland
I might just wait here for a little bit, let time pass. ❄️✨ There is something so special about Lough Bray. It’s one of those rare places where you can be in the heart of Dublin and, just an hour later, find yourself watching the sun dance across the lake in the Wicklow Mountains. Save this for your next weekend adventure in Wicklow! 🏔️ #loughbray #wicklowmountains #dublin #ireland
After spending years exploring every corner of Ireland, I’ve realized that some of the best magic is right on my doorstep. It’s no wonder Wicklow is known as the Garden of Ireland 🌿 Welcome to Episode 1 of the Wicklow Passport. It only made sense to start this series where the coast meets history: Wicklow Town. Most people drive right past, but here is your itinerary for the perfect day: 📍 Black Castle: These 12th-century Norman ruins have survived centuries of battles and now offer the most iconic views over the harbour. 📍 Two Wish Cave: Located just a 2-minute walk from the castle towards the town side. Note: This is only accessible at low tide, and the rocks are very slippery, so please be careful! 🌊 📍 Travelahawk Beach: A hidden gem with a legendary past. In 432 AD, St. Patrick famously attempted to land here but was met with such fierce resistance from the locals that he was forced to flee. 📍 Glen Beach Cliffs: Follow the path south to find a local grey seal colony. Reminder: Please admire these beautiful creatures from a distance and never disturb them in their natural habitat. 🦭🚫 📍 Wicklow Head Lighthouse: Did you know you can actually stay here? This octagonal stone tower is one of the most unique coastal stays in the country. 🏠🔦 📍 The Bridge Tavern: Finish with a pint at the birthplace of Captain Robert Halpin, the legendary mariner who laid the first telegraph cable across the Atlantic. Save this for your next Saturday road trip and follow along for Episode 2! 🇮🇪 #wicklowpassport #wicklow #irishroadtrip #irelandsancienteast #wicklowmountains

There’s a place in Wicklow that feels like it was written by someone who loved Ireland very much. You walk through golden hills, past sheep that don’t even look up, past a deer who holds your gaze for just one quiet second before vanishing into the trees — And then the world opens. White sand beneath your feet. A lake the colour of the winter sky ahead. Mountains, ancient and unhurried, on every side. One small white cottage below, as if someone once found this place and simply never left. The sun melts slowly here. Everything it touches turns gold. I sat down and forgot what I was rushing towards. Some places don’t need a name. They just need to be found. Yours to discover — somewhere in Wicklow.
Glendalough is a glacial valley famous for its early medieval monastic ruins, scenic lakes, and hiking trails in the Wicklow Mountains of eastern Ireland. It lies inside Wicklow Mountains National Park, about 50 km (30 miles) south of Dublin. #followersreelsfypシ゚viralシfypシ゚viralシ @highlight #travelmomentsire
