Radio Host and Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa Abruptly Quits 77 WABC Live On Air After Explosive Argument
In a dramatic and unexpected move, longtime radio personality and GOP mayoral hopeful Curtis Sliwa walked out of his station, WABC, live on air this morning following a heated dispute with station host Sid Rosenberg and management. Sliwa declared: “You will never see me in the studios of WABC again,” after accusing colleagues of betrayal and alleging the station was favoring another candidate.
The clash comes amid mounting pressure on Sliwa from GOP donor and station owner John Catsimatidis, who had publicly urged Sliwa to step aside from the New York City mayoral race to consolidate support behind independent candidate Andrew Cuomo against front‑runner Zohran Mamdani.
Sliwa’s outburst followed accusations that the station and its hosts were biased, leading him to allege he and his wife faced threats due to the campaign controversy. The altercation raises questions about the intersection of media, politics, and personal vendettas.
💬 Do you agree with Sliwa’s decision to quit on air — or view it as a misguided move that undermines his campaign?

Sonata No. 12 in F Major, K. 332 Allegro Assai ~ Mozart
~
Reflecting on Charter Sunday brings heartwarming gratitude as we honored the pioneers who laid the foundation for the @wheeleravenuebc church family. I was humbled to be asked on Saturday evening to perform this Mozart excerpt to commemorate Charter Day and embrace Women’s History Month. Though it had been five years since I last played this piece, I tackled it with renewed enthusiasm, spending hours in rehearsal to reacquaint myself with its nuances and ensure a captivating performance for Sunday morning. It was an honor to pay homage to the founding members of the #WABC church and personify the invaluable contributions of women through the beauty of music. 🎵🎹💒 #WABCMusicMoment
