I feel so lucky to have been able to document this rarely seen moment: a fledged Common Cuckoo (Gøg) being fed by a couple of Reed Warblers (Rørsanger). I promise you, the warblers were on a fast track here!
It’s well known that Cuckoos find foster parents to raise their offspring. And these poor parents are facing the tough challenge of raising a huge young Cuckoo.
Nature has its ways, and this is certainly one of the strangest ones.
The Warblers’ performance of “Whistle” is one of the standout competition numbers from Glee Season 4, Episode 8, “Thanksgiving.” Led by Hunter Clarington, the Dalton Academy Warblers perform the song during the 2012 Western Ohio Sectional Championship as the opening number of their set. The performance is packed with sharp choreography, synchronized movements, coordinated clapping, and plenty of confidence. Hunter’s impressive backflip adds an extra highlight, drawing a strong reaction from the audience. With polished vocals and energetic staging, the performance perfectly captures the Warblers’ signature style and competitive show-choir energy.

They might tell you you’re gonna see a lot of warblers in the fall, but no one ever tells you that 70 percent of them will be American redstarts 😂 get used to it!
Honestly, I don’t mind how common redstarts are because they’re so fiery and fun to watch! The only negative thing about them is they’re so flighty that I’ve been tricked into thinking I spotted one when it was really a falling leaf more times than I can count 😭 definitely a canon event during this time of year. But I will miss them dearly when they’re gone 🥲

Sebastian Smythe, played by Grant Gustin, was introduced in Glee Season 3 as a confident and scheming member of the Dalton Academy Warblers. With his sharp wit, competitive personality, and effortless charm, Sebastian quickly became one of the show’s most entertaining antagonists. He often clashed with the New Directions, particularly Blaine and Kurt, and wasn’t afraid to play dirty. However, Sebastian eventually showed a more compassionate side and began moving away from his villainous behavior. Gustin’s charisma made Sebastian so memorable that, despite his questionable actions, he became surprisingly difficult for fans to hate.

Glee featured "Whistle" by Flo Rida in Season 4, Episode 8 ("Thanksgiving"). The song was performed by the Dalton Academy Warblers during the 2012 Sectionals competition.
The performance was led by Hunter Clarington (played by Nolan Gerard Funk), with the rest of the Warblers providing harmonies and choreography. Their polished vocals, synchronized movements, and energetic stage presence make it one of the group's most memorable Season 4 performances.
A fun behind-the-scenes detail: in the episode, the Warblers initially win Sectionals with "Whistle" and "Live While We're Young," but it's later revealed they had been using performance-enhancing substances, leading to their disqualification. less

Warblers can be a real challenge to identify, luckily today’s bird of the day has a pretty distinctive song and bold plumage. The Yellow-throated Warbler can be found across much of the eastern United States, so keep an ear out for this beauty!
Nothing is coming between this young Black ornitholigist and his warblers! 🐦

10-second ID: Wilson’s Warbler
Wilson’s Warblers are small, bright yellow warblers found across much of North America during migration and the breeding season. Males are easy to recognize by their black caps, and I’ve been seeing a lot of them in riparian areas around the Vail Valley in Colorado this summer.
Let me know if you’ve seen a Wilson’s Warbler!

Warblers have started moving through. Queen Golden-winged stopped by, amazing bird. i have also had 3 Canada Warblers. I usually only get one. Wonder if they bred not far from me this year. Taking calming time each day to watch migration. I saw the first monarches, Nighthawks have flown by for the past few days. These movements are glorious. They show our earth system working. We should keep protecting these migrations paths, landscapes that support these earthling movements. It is what makes all life possible.

I've been looking at birds since I was six years old and always especially loved warblers, but until two days ago I had never crossed paths with a Lawrence's Warbler. Everyone on the New York tour this week was able to make some fantastic images of this charismatic guy. . . . . . #lawrenceswarbler #warbler #warblersofinstagram #your_best_birds #bestbirdshots
