Tigers defeat Watonga! Way to go boys! #tigerpride🐯
Way to go Watonga Camp! They welcomed me and worked so hard at the ideas I had to bring them. Great community, coaches and group of championship bound hoopers 🏀🌎we talked about the importance of the details OFF the court as well as on it 👏🏽🎯
Cimarron Electric Cooperative invited I Was At The Game to partner with them for a fun night where 2 of their member schools, WATONGA and FAIRVIEW played one another. Cimarron Electric customers were able to get in the game for free, and during halftime both schools administrators competed at Punt, Pass, and Kick.
We enjoyed being part of the fun and were impressed with WATONGA's facilities and hospitality. We put together a few snapshots from the game to share.

Meanwhile in Watonga, Oklahoma. This happened on Friday afternoon.
According to police sources, an officer noticed a red pickup truck being driven in a suspicious manner slightly before 4 p.m. on Foraker Avenue.
The driver of the truck, later identified as David Michael Brown, began attempting to elude police.
The truck darted out onto Clarence Nash Boulevard and attempted to turn west on Airport Road. Failing to accomplish the turn, the driver skid and tore through the fence on the south side of the airport complex only to exit on the east side a short distance away. He regained the roadway on Clarence Nash and fishtailed across, completing a turn in the east side right of way and heading back south.
Veering around a police cruiser, the truck made a hard right onto Airport Road with police in pursuit.
That pursuit did not go very far, as the truck, which was damaged when it struck the fencing, began experiencing problems and sputtered to a halt slightly before the sharp curve on Airport Road. It failed to start again after that and the driver, Brown, was taken into custody.
He was booked into the Blaine County Jail on charges of endangering others while eluding police; trespass and damage to critical infrastructure or facility; driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license canceled; suspended or revoked; reckless driving; speeding and failure to maintain security(insurance).

In October, we traveled to Watonga, Oklahoma with Ed Galbreath, grandson of Clarence Nash—the original voice of Donald Duck. It was Ed’s first visit to his grandfather’s hometown, where Clarence spent his early years after the 1892 land run.
At OKPOP, we’re proud to partner with the families of Oklahoma’s pop culture icons. A huge thank you to the Nash/Galbreath family for their support—OKPOP wouldn’t be complete without Clarence Nash!

Students at Watonga High School in Blaine County heard from Sara Sweet, whose father, W. Stephen Williams, was killed in the bombing. On today’s #JourneyofHope, Sara shared how her community surrounded her family with support in the days, weeks, and months that followed. That support has never stopped, even 30 years later friendships help her keep going.
She continues her father’s legacy by embracing the things he loved, like watching sports. Thank you to the First Responders and @watonga.ffa for your support today. #BeTheLight
