🍃Foxglen 🍃 📍Co Wicklow Outdoor Wellness in Donard, County Wicklow We enjoyed a little slice of heaven at Foxglen, and some much needed self care. It's only been open 6 months, and it was just fabulous. We went on a beautiful hike to start, then enjoyed relaxing time in the sauna and hot tub. I was with a large group so we had exclusive use 🙌 All the experiences / facilities available; * Sauna and cold-plunge * Hot tub * Changing rooms * Showers * Light refreshments Open: * Friday: 4pm–8pm * Saturday & Sunday: 11am–7pm It’s around an hour from Dublin depending on traffic. I promise you it's well worth a drive. SAVE for your next self care day! ❤️ @foxglenwellness ** I had a couple of comments about men needing a break too. Of course all parents need a break at times. 97% of our followers are female so our content is targeted at mums. ** Thanks to Orla @mojofitnessdonabate for organising ❤️

📍🦭 The Glen Beach Cliff Walk Also known as the Wicklow Head Cliff Walk, this is a hidden gem in County Wicklow, offering dramatic sea views and a much quieter experience than the more famous Bray-to-Greystones path. 🚂 Getting There from Dublin The walk starts at Glen Beach, just south of Wicklow Town (about 50km from Dublin). 🚗 By Car (Approx. 1 hour): Take the M11/N11 south. Take Exit 16 for Wicklow/Rathnew. Follow the R750 into Wicklow Town, drive through the town, and pass the entrance to the Wicklow Golf Club. The Glen Beach Car Park is located just after the golf club. By Public Transport (Approx. 1.5 - 2 hours): 🚃 Train: Take the Commuter or Rosslare Europort train from Dublin Connolly or Pearse Station to Wicklow Station. It is a scenic 25-minute walk from the station through Wicklow Town to reach the trailhead. 🚍 Bus: Take the Bus Éireann 133 from Custom House Quay to Wicklow Town. 🕑 Opening Times The Trail: There are no gates or official opening hours for the cliff walk itself; it is accessible 24/7 Safety Tip: It is highly recommended to only walk during daylight hours. The path is narrow and runs very close to exposed cliff edges with no handrails. I always get asked if there are any Irish chicken goujon products in the supermarkets.. well watch till the end to see the only one I’ve found! But the first “made in Wicklow” chicken goujons product is a bit of a farce! This would naturally make people think the chicken itself is Irish… but no, it could be either non-eu, eu, or Irish chicken… we really don’t have a clue!! They’re importing the chicken and then processing the product in Wicklow… but labelling legislation should not allow them to write “made in Wicklow” on the front! This is about transparency for busy consumers who don’t have time to carefully examine the fine print of everything they’re buying! If wording on packaging gives a certain impression, it should accurately reflect what’s inside, especially for shoppers who want to support Irish farmers when they can. We deserve full transparency with where we’re choosing to spend our money and it’s clear labelling legislation needs to change. What do you think of this? The historic Wicklow Head lighthouses have been part of this coastline for generations, and the walk out there still feels like one of Wicklow’s best hidden gems. The lighthouse trail combines history, beautiful coastal scenery, and some seals along the cliffs if you’re lucky. Lovely walk for a sunny day. Read more at visitwicklow.ie
