Earth didn’t come with an instruction manual, but it did come with living guides.. the plants, the waters, animals, tree and stone people.

I love this wildcrafted salve, made from tree resin! Making a Douglas fir (or pine/spruce) pitch resin salve is a traditional DIY remedy used for healing cuts, scrapes, drawing out splinters, and soothing dry, cracked skin. It acts as an antibacterial and antimicrobial, sealing wounds like a natural bandage. 🙌

This bougainvillea tea feels extra special because I picked the flowers myself.
Yes! Bougainvillea is edible, and it’s been traditionally used to support the respiratory system, soothe the throat, and bring gentle relief to the lungs. I blended it with hibiscus, dried rose, cinnamon sticks, and a little honey for warmth and balance.
It’s floral, slightly tart, comforting… and honestly one of those cups that just feels good to drink.
Slow sips. Deep breaths. Nature doing what it does best.
Would you try bougainvillea tea? 🌿
Save this if herbal infusions are your thing.

Just because your lemon balm is lush and growing
doesn’t mean it’s ready to harvest.
Right now, many herbs are in their early vegetative stage,
putting on fresh green growth, but not yet at their peak medicinal potency.
Lemon balm is a good example of this.
At this stage, the leaves are soft and abundant,
but the plant hasn’t yet directed its energy into producing the full spectrum of its aromatic oils.
As lemon balm begins to move toward flowering, the chemistry shifts.
The scent deepens.
The oils become more concentrated.
The medicine becomes stronger and more defined.
This is a threshold moment in the life of the plant.
A time of reproduction, of attracting pollinators, and of protecting what is being created.
And in response, many plants increase the production of the very compounds we rely on medicinally,
volatile oils, resins, tannins, and other protective constituents.
We see this same pattern in so many herbs.
With nettle, we wait for the early bud stage for medicine making.
With aromatic herbs like lemon balm, we often wait until the first flowers begin to open.
That doesn’t mean the plant isn’t useful before then,
but timing your harvest to these moments can make a real difference in the strength and quality of what you’re making.
This is one of the pieces that often gets missed.
Not just what plant to harvest, but when.
🌿 Have you noticed this shift before?

How to make Sea moss gel + soursop tea at home = one of my favorite wellness combos. Sourced from Vietnam by @freshafricame 🌿
Their wild-crafted sea moss is packed with vital minerals (over 90 plus minerals including iodine, zinc, calcium) 👌 great for thyroid support, gut health, and skin care. I cut, rinse, soak, blend into gel, then freeze into cubes so I can drop them into smoothies, soups, or skin masks.
Their soursop leaves, used for centuries, offer fiber, vitamin C, and powerful antioxidants; excellent for digestion, immune support, and calming inflammation.
The combo? A moment of real self-care, hydration, and wellness in one cup.
Always check with your doctor before embarking on new wellness rituals.

Chronic stress? Divorce. Holidays. Moving. Loss of job (etc?). FIRST: try managing the stress with lifestyle factors such as sleep, exercise, breathing techniques, therapy, and things that make you feel calm and better. BUT if that doesn’t work there is nothing wrong with taking some adaptogens. What are they? Read bellow.
-
Adaptogens are natural substances thought to help the body resist stressors of all kinds, whether physical, chemical, or biological. Here are some of the best-known adaptogens for managing stress:
👇
1. Ashwagandha: An ancient medicinal herb known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety.
2. Rhodiola Rosea: Believed to enhance your body’s resistance to stress while boosting energy and mood.
3. Ginseng: Known for its ability to increase energy levels and reduce stress.
4. Holy Basil (Tulsi): Used in Ayurvedic medicine to combat stress and improve mental balance.
5. Maca Root: Often used to boost energy, stamina, and mood.
6. Cordyceps: A type of mushroom that is said to fight fatigue and improve energy levels.
7. Licorice Root: Believed to help the body more efficiently regulate cortisol, the stress hormone.
8. Schisandra: A berry used in traditional Chinese medicine, known for its potential to enhance resilience to stress.
9. Astragalus Root: Used in Chinese medicine, it’s thought to help reduce stress and support overall immune function.
👇
It’s important to consult with a healthcare provider before using any adaptogens, especially if you have health conditions or are taking other medications, as they can interact with other treatments. (Need a coach? Hit me up, I’m NOT CHEAP or free, this content is free though 😉)
Jamaican Tinking Toe (also called Stinking Toe) might have a strong smell, but inside the pod is a surprisingly powerful superfood. 🌿
This traditional Caribbean fruit is naturally rich in plant-based protein, complex carbohydrates, and dietary fiber, making it a great source of long-lasting energy and digestive support. The dry pulp is also packed with antioxidants that help protect the body from inflammation and oxidative stress.
Tinking Toe is known to contain iron, which supports healthy blood and energy levels, along with important minerals like calcium and magnesium that contribute to strong bones, muscles, and nerve function.
Traditionally, many people in the Caribbean blend it into tonics or nourishing drinks to help with strength, stamina, digestion, and overall vitality.
Sometimes the strongest natural medicines come in the most unexpected packages. 🌱
Nature always provides.
