At first glance, this looks like a heartbreaking deathbed scene. But William Blake wanted you to notice something almost everyone misses. "The Death of the Good Old Man" was created around 1805–1810 as part of Blake's biblical illustrations. Most viewers focus on the grieving family. But the real story is hidden on the old man's face. He isn't terrified. He isn't resisting death. He's smiling. According to Blake's spiritual beliefs, a righteous soul has nothing to fear. Death isn't the end... It's the beginning of eternal life. The contrast is powerful. While the family experiences sorrow... The dying man experiences peace. That's what makes this painting feel strangely comforting even after more than 200 years. 🎨 The Death of the Good Old Man 👨🏻‍🎨 William Blake 📅 c. 1805–1810 Follow @silentpaintings_ for more paintings with disturbing stories and hidden meanings. #williamblake #darkart #arthistory #symbolism #painting

What if a little lamb could reveal the face of Christ? In William Blake’s The Lamb, a child’s simple question becomes a profound meditation on creation, innocence, and divine love. “Who made thee?” The answer is both simple and profound: the Creator is also the Lamb of God, Christ, “meek” and “mild.” Blake transforms a tiny lamb into a symbol of innocence, tenderness, sacrifice, and divine love. #TheLamb #WilliamBlake #WilliamBlakePoetry #SongsOfInnocence #RomanticPoetry EnglishLiterature LiteratureReels PoetryExplained LiteraryAnalysis ChristSymbolism LambOfGod Innocence DivineLove BritishPoetry MiracleInstitute
🐯 The Tyger — William Blake Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand, dare seize the fire? And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? & what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain, In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp, Dare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears And water'd heaven with their tears: Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tyger Tyger burning bright, In the forests of the night: What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . #williamblake #foryou #citaçõesliterárias #poetry #literature
We start seeing differently, finding silence in what's unsaid. Like The Doors, there are knowns and unknowns. It's up to you to open the door to what's beyond discussion. #Mindfulness #Philosophy #SelfDiscovery #Esoteric #WilliamBlake #InnerPeace #Wisdom #Perception
William Blake spent his whole life seeing what others could not: angels in the trees at Peckham, visions at his window, eternity in an hour. He died poor and largely dismissed. Today he is immortal. I paired his four most famous lines with The Magician: one hand to heaven, one to earth, the card that says the infinite moves through the smallest things. Through a grain of sand. Through a wild flower. Through you. Your knowing is not madness. It never was. Stop and truly look at one small thing today, and tell me what you find. The cards meet you exactly where you are.
