Winter Jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum). 💛💛💛 Lovely winter blooms right now. Has been blooming for 3 weeks already. Winter jasmine has bright starry yellow flowers up 1 inch across. The flowers appear on bare, slender stems from late winter to early spring. Dark green leaves appear in early spring. It is very low maintenance. I’ve never fertilized it and just cut it back slightly when it encroaches on the front walk. It looks good overhanging a slope or low wall or against a fence. It flowers best in full sun but mine is in part shade and is doing fine. No scent but still worth it. Its delicate white star-shaped flowers, mild fragrance, and reddish stems make it truly special. I hard pruned it some time back, before the actual blooming season, and now it has started flowering beautifully.
