🚗 Interesting fact: GTA: San Andreas (2004) — The game’s world was originally intended to be three separate maps connected by a loading screen, but the team at Rockstar pushed the technology of the time to create one massive, seamless environment. Rockstar actually planned to have multiple playable protagonists in this game (similar to GTA V), but they had to scrap the idea due to the hardware limitations of the PlayStation 2. To get the gang territory right, the art team traveled to real neighborhoods in L.A., taking thousands of photos to use as direct textures for the buildings.
