Turtle season is just around the corner🐢💙

From October through March, beaches along Australia's Coral Coast welcome turtles as they come ashore to mate, nest their eggs, and hatch, beginning one of nature's most remarkable journeys.

When exploring nesting beaches along the coast, a little care goes a long way. If you're lucky enough to encounter a turtle, please give it space, keep noise to a minimum, avoid lights and flash photography, and let it continue its journey undisturbed.

The best wildlife encounters are the ones that put the animals first ✨

📖 Before heading out, take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the Turtle Watcher's Code of Conduct and learn how to enjoy turtle season responsibly.
