The Daydreaming II brooch will take part of Amalgam, an exhibition by Cluster London, held within the framework of London Design Festival. (A bit of the process of the making of the brooch) Daydreaming ll. Brooch. 2026. Seaweed, silk, pigment and resin. I am traveling and participating with Amalgam Made in Chile, a collective of three contemporary Chilean jewellery artists @liliana.ojeda.art @monocojoyas @taibe.palacios Our work embraces experimentation with unconventional materials, including seaweed, recycled copper and fruit peel, revealing a freedom of form and subject matter grounded in a deep understanding of each material’s inherent qualities. Through this material-led approach, the artists challenge the boundaries of contemporary jewellery, transforming unexpected materials into expressive, sculptural forms of wearable art. Transforming locally sourced seaweed into heavy, wearable sculpture. 🎟️ AMALGAM | 11–20 Sept | 14 Hanbury St, London 👉 Tap the link in bio to claim your free pass now (Free RSVP required) With over two decades of practice, contemporary jewellery artist Taibe Palacios (@taibe.palacios) redefines what carries value. Instead of precious metals, she converts collected seaweed and overlooked organic materials into intimate, tactile pieces designed to interact directly with the body. Her work challenges traditional luxury, turning organic decay into high-craft physical artifacts that sit right at the intersection of art, sustainability, and narrative.
