Massage therapists, should you be worried about robots taking your job? It sounds like something from the future… but robotic massage is already here.

Comment ‘PODCAST’ and we’ll dm you the full discussion!

In Episode 32 of the Massage & Physical Therapists Podcast, Chris Madden @takeabreatheruk and Josh Lawton @northlondonmassagetherapy dive into what AI, technology and robotic massage could mean for therapists over the next 10 years.

You’ll hear about:

👉 Why therapists who refuse to adapt could get left behind
👉 What a £130,000 robotic massage machine can actually do
👉 Why robots can scan bodies but can’t read emotions
👉 The importance of human connection, communication and trust
👉 Why doing the same thing for 10 years doesn’t necessarily mean 10 years of growth
👉 Why the future could be human with AI, rather than humans vs AI

Technology might be getting smarter… but can it ever replace what happens when a therapist truly understands their client? 👐❤️

Would you let a robot massage you? 👇

The boat is back out for another long weekend of adventures aboard the Good Ship Breather! 🏴‍☠️ 🧡 by @takeabreatheruk

Officially Mr & Mrs Maddon! Yesterday was 5 years since we changed our surnames and had a big party, so we snuck off to Buxton and made it official yesterday with just the two of us. 🧡

Big love to @elspethmarymoore for coming to take photos! 📸 by @takeabreatheruk

Happy holidays 👋 🌊 Today’s dad and lad hirers heading off for a couple of days on the water 🧡 by @takeabreatheruk

Indian Head Massage from my new trainee 💆🏻 by @takeabreatheruk

🌞 🌊 Fun fact, no rain in yonks = shallow canals. We have spoken with this week’s boat hirer about the low canal levels and offered a refund, giving them the freedom to rebook later in Summer once we have had some rain. They were very happy as the low water levels had been worrying them 😊 Not many canal boat hirers would offer a refund due to “uncontrollable natural events” but I would hate for a family to hire a boat for the first time and it be a worry or a faff. A bit of jiggery pokery with the barge pole (oh matron!) will do the trick if you do get stuck at a shallow bank when mooring. Worst case, stay put and pop the kettle on and try again in the morning ☕️ by @takeabreatheruk
