Hits different when the therapeutic yap sesh lands and a client has a breakthrough outside of session 🤌🏼👏🏼 #souljourney #therapyhumour by @talkaboutitwithb

If you’re in your Chappell Roan era and also moving to Saskatchewan, here’s what you need to know about how therapy is regulated here (spoiler alert, it’s not)!📍🌾

Some days I’m sorting through my own word salad, but we eventually find our way … this often shortly followed by “does that make sense” (it definitely didn’t 😂)! Anyone else!?! #therapyhumour #relatabletherapist by @talkaboutitwithb

Trying to build rapport while remembering I have 47 more intake questions to ask 💁🏻‍♀️ (pssst... rapport building always wins)!

Human first, therapist second. To those still growing, healing, and learning to care for the younger versions of themselves; I see you, little one 🫶🏼

The thing about your inner child is, they don’t just disappear. They grow alongside us, shaping the way we see ourselves, navigate relationships, and move through the world.

Sometimes, the beliefs we formed in our childhood follow us into adulthood. The need to be liked, to be easy to love, to keep everyone happy, to take up less space, to abide by the gender roles we’d been taught. Sometimes, we don’t even realize how much of who we’ve become was shaped by what we once needed to do to feel safe, accepted, or loved.

Part of healing is learning to reconnect with those younger versions of ourselves. To look back at the beliefs we carried and the ways we learned to cope with kinder eyes, a little more understanding, and an updated view of the world.

That little girl hasn’t left me. We’ve just evolved together…and maybe that’s what part of rediscovering ourselves and healing our inner child is; learning to understand the younger self you were while giving the person you’re becoming permission to be something different.

You can honour who you had to be while gently making room for who you are becoming 🤍🌿

Your reminder to unclench your jaw, let your shoulders fall, take a deep breath, and just be! 🤍

In an effort to get to know ourselves better, overanalysing every thought, choice, and behaviour can become the go-to.

Please know that although self-awareness and reflection are part of growth, you don’t have to turn every moment into an opportunity for self-improvement.

Sometimes, you’re allowed to just exist. To have a thought without dissecting it. To make a choice without questioning it a hundred times. To have a day that isn’t productive, profound, or perfectly aligned with who you’re trying to become.

Growth is important, but so is giving yourself permission to simply be human 🤍

The seasons change, and so do I 🎃👻

We live in a world that celebrates hustle, glorifies productivity, and has us convinced that we should always be doing more, becoming more, achieving more!

While I am pro setting goals and stepping into your higher self… Allow this to be a reminder that no matter what season of your life you’re in, you are allowed to just be there. Letting go, resting, and simply just being.

You are not behind because your life looks different right now or because your growth is quiet, and time is not wasted if progress is not right in your face.

And when your season begins to change too, as it will, I hope you look back at your restful self with kind eyes and thank them for getting you to the person you were becoming ♥️🫶🏼

Challenge for all the eldest daughters, people pleasers, and highly sensitive souls out there ^^^ you do not owe an “I’m sorry” to anyone who does not respect your limits!
