Meet Tama

Tamataipunoa (Tama) Francis is a Narrm-Based artist whose practice incorporates mixed media illustration, painting, animation and sculpture.

His works, although whimsical and full of colour, centre around politically driven motivations, blending difficult subject matter with lighthearted imagery. This juxtaposition allows the artist to hide themes like Human corruption, animal cruelty and artificial intelligence behind a wall of innocence.

His latest work, ‘01001001 00100000 01110011 01100101 01100101 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 (I see you)’ will be on display at ONLY U & AI from October 21-23 at Miscellania. by @onlyuandai_
