SKLO X TAMBA

Great design isn't always noticed. But you can feel it in every detail.

At Tamba, design is an expression of identity. Through its distinctive interiors, carefully curated art and interplay of textures, materials and cultural influences, Tamba creates an atmosphere that is both immersive and deeply personal from the owner’s time in Africa. Every element contributes to a larger story, where design is not merely decorative, but an integral part of the dining experience.

This philosophy finds a natural connection with SKLO EVOLUTION, the Red Dot Design Award-winning glass collection designed in Singapore.

Created with insights from the Asian sommelier community, SKLO EVOLUTION brings together considered form and function, reflecting a distinctly Asian perspective on wine appreciation. Its design vision is brought to life by the master glassmakers of Květná 1794 in the Czech Republic, drawing on more than 230 years of glassmaking heritage.

Much like the artistic details that define Tamba, SKLO EVOLUTION demonstrates how thoughtful design can transcend aesthetics. It is the meeting of a contemporary Singaporean design vision and centuries of Czech craftsmanship, united by a shared appreciation for detail, authenticity and purpose.

At Tamba, as with SKLO, it is the thoughtful consideration behind every element that makes the experience distinctive.
Different expressions of design. One shared philosophy.

Some flavours take a while to find. A spoonful of something fermented. A chilli that arrives slowly, with layers of sensation.

The Lamb Pepper Soup
A West African pepper soup, with palm oil and iru, fermented locust beans, giving the broth its richness.

The Roll of Nigeria
Fish roulade wrapped in collard greens, set in a plantain coconut sauce, with scent leaf and scotch bonnet giving this a whole other layer of depth.

These are our seasonal specials, here for a limited time.

Last week, we had the honour of opening our doors to an evening unlike any other.

A Pinotage-led multi-course dinner, rooted in the flavours of the African continent and brought to life by Annette Scarfe, Master of Wine — whose knowledge of the grape is (in our eyes and hearts) unmatched.

The steak that needs no introduction and the sauce that keeps changing.

Bone-in and kissed by woodfire. While incredible in its own right, what makes this a Tamba special is the sauce. Homemade from scratch, with ingredients that have been sourced from all around the region, all in a bid to serve you authentic, unhurried and homely food.

Selecting the wines to go on our menu is not something we take lightly.

Every bottle is chosen with the full picture in mind: the dishes we serve, the ambience and the occasion. At Tamba, our selection showcases the work of some of South Africa’s most adventurous winemakers, alongside wines made from grapes grown on some of the country’s oldest vines.

Every cocktail on our menu was crafted as an ode to the meaningful and memorable parts of Tamba’s life.

Bush School — that’s where Tamba spent his childhood. Playing football on his school team. Taking drum lessons. Simply, being a kid.

Before guests arrive, our tables are set by hand. Menus are placed, glasses checked and polished, napkins rolled for the next guest.

Almost entirely homemade: The process is impossible to rush.

At Tamba, textures are a signature — even in our Adaakwa Dodo.

Before the first guest arrives, there is a ritual.

Straw hats, donned in style; leather suspenders, clipped into place.

Because at Tamba, what our team wears is never incidental. This is just one part of how everything at Tamba comes together. In the details, where every choice is intentional. What our team wears is simply one of the things you see first.

When the doors open, what greets you is the sum of all of it: a West African oasis crafted in honour of the late Tamba, and for you. by @tamba.singapore

Every jollof is made uniquely its own. Every family’s version carries something that cannot be written in a recipe or easily replicated.

At Tamba, the story behind ours begins in Liberia. In a small town called Sinyea, that almost feels like a world of its own. Spices, smoked bacon and smoked fish find their way into a hot pan. What emerges is smoky, aromatic, layered — the kind of dish that you remember fondly. This was Tamba’s favourite dish to come home to, we’d love for you to come and find out why. by @tamba.singapore

The rhythm of highlife music, the intimacy of warm hospitality and the irresistible scent of wood fire grilled dishes… Tucked into a space that has been reimagined as a lived-in West African home.

This is an experience that can’t be simply translated into words. The Tamba experience, customised for your event.
