Artist Spotlight: Jiabao Li ✨🌊

This Thanksgiving, we’re thinking about what it means to care for the world around us through Jiabao Li’s moving VR film, Once a Glacier. Inspired by her time in Alaska, it tells the story of a young girl’s bond with a glacier. As the ice melts, her efforts to protect it remind us how quickly the world is changing—and how important it is to cherish what we have.

With glacier sounds recorded in Alaska and models built from satellite data, this immersive film shows the deep connection between humans and nature.

🏆 Honored at SXSW, IDFA, and Raindance, and winner of Best VR Short at the Cannes World Film Festival.

Come experience it December 5th & 7th at The Igloo!
