I bring to you this flyer starring my laser printer. Just today I was hacking into the settings to remind it that the computer chip inside it is wrong, and that it is fact, full of toner. Now is its own special moment in the sun. You better appreciate it, HL-L235ODW! 🖨️

📣STEP RIGHT UP! The South Side Zine Fest + Carnival is Saturday, August 15th! That’s a week from the day I’m posting this! 🎡 Don’t miss the panel I’m moderating at the fest! It’s called “More Than a Youth Culture: Building a Sustainable Life in DIY” with Kurt @room_tone_zine, Andrea Pearson @aquatic_panda_distro, and Jackie Wolk @jacqwolk_zine.

The panel is at 1:30pm at Tangible Books @tangiblechicago, (3326 S. Halsted), a few storefronts down the street from the tabling exhibition part of the fest. We’ll talk about challenges in staying inspired over the long haul with zine-making, art-making and distribution. If the spirit moves me I will request for you damn kids to get off my lawn.

Don’t miss the tabling exhibition of the fest too! That’s 11am-4pm at the Richard J. Daley branch of the Chicago Public Library @chicagopubliclibrary, 3400 S. Halsted St. in #Bridgeport.

Thank you to zinemaker Lucinda J. Williams @bookshelf_voyeur for her generous sponsorship of the programming as well as sponsor @zineclubchicago! 🤡

All this is free and all ages. Now get off my lawn!
