Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate! (Before your tan)

Exfoliating plays a huge role in how your tan will develop and how long it will last. It’s like creating a clean and smooth canvas to paint on.

A commonly missed area that people tend to forget when exfoliating is their chest. Don’t forget to cleanse your whole body! 🧖🏽‍♀️

However, be sure to not exfoliate after getting your tan to ensure longevity!

After care is so important to helping your tan last longer! The better you take care of your skin, the better your tan will be and last.

You want to avoid anything with mineral oils, waxes, lanolin, petrolatum, acetone and alcohols such as isopropyl, SD 40. That can sound overwhelming and almost impossible, but that’s why I provided a few suggestions that I like! If you ever have any questions about what after care products to use, ask your artist.

“How long will my tan last?”

Ultimately there’s a few factors that come into play. How well you are prepping and taking care of your skin post tan, hormones, ph balance even pregnancy. I always do my best to ensure I’m doing my part in giving you a quality tan with products that have quality ingredients that are well fit for your skin. You have to do your part as well! 🤎

Here are some things you can do to help with the longevity:

- Stay hydrated! Drink as much water as possible
- Stay moisturized! Lotion up daily
- Use spray tan safe products
- Shorten your showers and always pat dry with your towel

I’ve been MIA!! We welcomed a little nugget to our family back in October and I’ve been taking time off. To say I MISS my clients and spraying you beautiful people would be an understatement! I can’t wait to be back chatting and giving you a nice glow in my tent. TBA when I’ll return but I will hopefully see you soon ❤️‍🔥🌹😘 by @tannedbytae
