Diaspora Day was a beautiful reminder that supporting Black-owned small businesses is about more than making a purchase. It’s about celebrating our culture. Every purchase, share, recommendation, and word of mouth makes a difference. So when you have the opportunity,m. Buy Black, shop small, and show your people some love.🤎 Tagging the amazing businesses I got to support! Go show them some love, too.🙂‍↔️ by @tastemakersunited
What an honor to carry this vision through and watch it become something we could all share. 💜 I wanted The Diaspora Day Experience to be a place where our cultures could meet. Where artists could be celebrated, small businesses could be supported, and people across generations could find something that felt familiar while discovering something new. On Saturday, I got to see that happen. People brought their families. They stopped to listen, stayed to connect, and showed love to people whose work deserved their attention. I found myself looking around, trying to take it all in. 🥹🫶🏾 So much care went into this day. To my team, our volunteers, collaborators, sponsors, artists, vendors, and everyone who lent their time and gifts: thank you for helping me carry it. I know what you gave, and I’m deeply grateful. And to everyone who came to Loiter and filled that space with your presence, thank you for trusting the invitation. Creating spaces for us to gather, see ourselves, and celebrate one another is work I feel called to do. Having the opportunity to do it in East Cleveland meant so much. Still taking it in. Still saying thank you. 💜 by @tastemakersunited
The way that October sun caught every shade of us… ☀️💜 Beautiful people, full smiles, and so much love. One recap was never going to be enough. 😌 We’re still going through these photos and finding more moments worth sharing. The hugs, the laughter, the familiar faces, and the new connections. Y’all made THE DIASPORA DAY EXPERIENCE feel like a reunion. 🫶🏾 Here’s a little more of what Saturday looked like Swipe through, tag a familiar face, and tell us your favorite memory from the day. We’re still smiling over here. 💜 📸 @jeanitablue by @tastemakersunited
East Cleveland, we felt the LOVE. 💜🫶🏾 Saturday, you showed up with your families, your friends, your good energy, and so much pride in our culture. Looking through these photos, we’re grateful all over again. To everyone who danced with us, supported a small business, cheered for an artist, tried something new, or simply came through to be part of it: THANK YOU. From the little ones to our elders, seeing generations come together at THE DIASPORA DAY EXPERIENCE meant everything. So many stories, so many connections, and so much joy in one place. 🌍✨ Twenty photos can only hold a little of what we felt, but @jeanitablue captured it beautifully. Swipe through, find your people, and help us keep this love circulating. Our hearts are full. Thank you for being part of this with us. 💜 #diasporaday2026 #tastemakersunited by @tastemakersunited
