This one’s different. As part of our Taste of Dubai series, we’re shining a light on the restaurants that are doing things properly — not just following the crowd. Next stop: Lowe 🔥 Chef Ali. Red snapper. Sustainable cooking, done right. No noise. No waste. Just serious attention to detail. If you’ve been — you know. If you haven’t — their tasting menu says it all… and yeah, still one of the most talked-about (and cheapest) glasses of champagne in Dubai. Don’t just watch it — go out, book it, and back them. 🎧 Episode 4 is live. Stay hungry. #TasteAndTalk #SupportLocalDubai #DubaiRestaurants #SustainableCooking #EatLocal by @tasteofdubai
We’re back… but this time it means more. After an incredible Taste of Dubai in February, we’ve teamed up with some of the restaurants we loved to shine a light on the dishes that stayed with us. First stop: Akira Back 🔥 Chef Gio. The “Perfect Storm.” And a proper reminder of just how good Dubai’s food scene really is. These places aren’t just content… they’re people, teams, and stories. So don’t just watch it — go out, book it, and back them. 🎧 Listen now: https://open.spotify.com/episode/5i4ZraaKmdgu9l4qmD2Pa3?si=J1T_cU85RQiNwsDfyJFhZA #supportlocaldubai #tasteofdubai #tasteandtalkwithrich #dubaifoodscene #dubaieats Episode 1 is live. Back where it all happens… 📍Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. So many memories from Taste of Dubai — the energy, the chefs, the crowds, the food… unreal. But right now, things are different. And the restaurants we love? They need us more than ever. So we’re hitting the road. New Taste and Talk with Rich episodes are dropping from inside some of Dubai’s best kitchens — real conversations, real stories, and seriously good food. 👉 Go support them. 👉 Go eat. 👉 Go listen. As we wrap up February, we’re still thinking about the weekend that brought together over 25,000 of Dubai’s foodies🍴✨ From 6–8 February we took over Dubai Media City Amphitheatre with three days of flavour, fun, and full-on delicious energy. From packed masterclasses and live chef moments to buzzing brand activations, an artisan market full of finds, and music that carried the vibe into the evening, every corner had something happening. Plates were shared, new favourites were discovered, and the atmosphere was exactly what this city does best. Thank you for vibing with us, friends! Until next time 😌 #TasteofDubai #DubaiFoodie #DubaiEats #ForFriendsWhoFeast by @tasteofdubai
Fire is universal. Technique is intentional. Culture is built. At Taste of Dubai, inside the Media City Amphitheatre, we didn’t just cook... we connected traditions. With my fire brothers Andrew Dickens & Joseph Nesbitt-Larking from Gōdfȳr & Co., the firepit session became a masterclass in live fire thinking. Yes, we flash-seared wagyū tomahawks using the Afterburner technique: raw power, direct flame, controlled chaos. Yes, we seasoned lamb canons with Smoking Beards Southern Kiss. But the real magic lives in the layers. We revisited Alabama White BBQ Sauce, born in 1925 by Big Bob Gibson to keep smoked chicken moist, and fused it with the vertical elegance of Lebanese shawarma traditions. American pit heritage. Middle Eastern street mastery. One fire. One story. This is what live fire cooking is about: Not recipes. Not trends. But understanding heat, fat, moisture, and culture... then bending them with intent. BBQ isn’t just food. It’s anthropology with smoke. If we sparked curiosity, raised the knowledge bar, and made a few people rethink what “BBQ” can be... mission accomplished. The fire teaches. We listen. by @tasteofdubai
