9/4/25πŸͺ½ I am so heartbroken that my angel Luna has passed away. She was truly one of a kind and unlike any other cat I’ve met in my life. Luna had so many friends and even convinced those that didn’t like cats to give them a chance. I got Luna 10 years ago when at the shelter I passed by her kennel and she reached her paw out and grabbed me by the hoodie. It was love at first sight. She was the best cat in the world, she was there through middle school, high school, and college graduation. She loved studying and riding with me 5 hours back and forth from Carbondale to Chicago, she truly was my other half. Now Luna lives on through the beaming morning rays, bees since she always purrs 🐝, and lots and lots of salmon. I know in kitty heaven she has all the windows in the world, the highest cat trees, and she can live a life without pain β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή I tried to give Luna the best years of her life especially with her chronic illness. It’s so hard since I knew my time with Luna would be a lot shorter than most people have with their cats but Luna was so strong and lived 2x beyond her life expectancy. She was so loved by everyone and I know she was greeted in heaven by all the sweet puppies and kitties in the world 🐈🩷 I love you forever Luney Tuney 🐾 by @tay__fab
Today I added my Powerplant rating onto my mechanic certificate making me a fully rated A&P mechanic! I’m super grateful to the AVTECH program for everything the past 4 years. πŸΎπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”§βœˆοΈπŸ’œ ft. my fave avt memories by @tay__fab
Officially graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Technologies with a Specialization in Helicopter Maintenance. I am extremely grateful for my time spent at SIU and the opportunities it allowed me to have. From being president of AWAM for 2 years, member of NGPA, and connecting with so many people. I became a certified pilot and aircraft mechanic joining the less than 10% of women in the field. Receiving over 55k in scholarships I am grateful to have achieved this feat almost debt-free with a 3.89 GPA πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”§πŸ©·βœˆοΈβœ¨πŸ‘©πŸ½β€βœˆοΈπŸ’…πŸ½πŸ› οΈπŸš πŸ“Έ: @ryxsa 😘 by @tay__fab
After 4 long years of hard work I am officially a certified aircraft mechanic with Airframe rating! So happy to join the 2.6% of female AMTs πŸšβœˆοΈπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”§ by @tay__fab
Another great year at NGPA Winter Warm Up πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆβœˆοΈ I was very fortunate this year to be awarded the JSX Maintenance Technician Scholarship awarded by NGPA. The opportunities that these various aviation organizations offer for students are invaluable. They allow students like me to attend college and not worry about the financial barrier that comes in the way with university. Thank you NGPA for giving me the community I’ve always needed in aviation. Next up A&P, commercial cert, and graduation πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”§βœˆοΈ by @tay__fab

September recap ❀️ Earlier in September I was given the invaluable opportunity to attend the 2nd annual Latino Pilot Association Conference. To be invited to this event was such an honor and I created so many connections along the way that will last a lifetime. Thank you LPA and Republic Airways for believing in me and my journey and allowing me the opportunity to achieve my dreams. πŸ‡²πŸ‡½πŸ‡΅πŸ‡·πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΉπŸ‘©πŸ½β€βœˆοΈπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”§βœˆοΈπŸ› οΈ by @tay__fab
