❤️‍🔥 by @taylalalane

On my walk the other morning, I was reminiscing about my comp prep back in 2023, where this was a non-negotiable for me. Simply a task to be completed, 7 days a week, often I was up before the sun was (I didn’t always enjoy that part). 😅

These days I absolutely love going for a walk. No real purpose or aim, not just to get steps in (that’s obviously a pro), but to get outside and clear my mind. 🫶🏼

I think it’s important to acknowledge that this seemingly easy activity is a privilege. Going to the gym is a privilege. Eating food that nourishes your body is a privilege.
It is not something you should be complaining about “having” to do. 🙅🏼‍♀️
Whenever I’m feeling down in the dumps, I remind myself that it is a PRIVILEGE to be able to take care of my body.

Change the narrative! You write the story. Fix your mindset and be grateful for what your body allows you to do. 💪🏼💛 by @taylalalane

My Memphi boy
It’s been so much fun, but it’ll never be the same without you 💔 by @taylalalane

How hard are you willing to work to achieve your goals?
Are you going to push past the discomfort and adversity to change? 🫵🏼⚖️

It is a fact that our brains are hardwired to keep us safe, and that also includes generally avoiding any type of pain, which is often what blocks your progress.

So when you’re struggling in a training session, I want you to ask yourself this question: is my body actually incapable of doing this, or is my brain just trying to get me to avoid discomfort? 🤔

My dad always used to tell me that my brain will try to make me give up before my body physically does. That changed something in the way I thought, and it empowered me to try harder and because of it, I’ve grown. 🌱 by @taylalalane

It’s simple really… I just love this sport 🤩💖
I can’t believe it’ll have been 4 years since my first ever competition when I step on stage for the second time. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to compete. Prep is a privilege.

Seriously how and why is this so hard 🫠🤣
l’ve been training for almost 5 years and yet I still struggle with this... I thought my strength at the gym was supposed to transfer to real life scenarios 🙈
