Wrapping up this fan art for the @thetyleredlin discord competition! I’ll have to do some more shots and scenes since I’ve got a 3D kit built out for this.

Sketch from the other night. basing this one from a few more shots of a scene made with Adobe Medium x Blender.

I really wanted to find a way to capture some juicy bounce light in this scene to test my lighting for this shot.

#tbt to some sketches from my last mentorship with @sentientacademy 🎨

Gouache can be a steep learning curve! In my course I’ll demonstrate how to use gouache effectively for sketching, plein air, and simply designing clear compositions. I’ll be going over several fundamental practices and brushwork techniques in my class coming up this June.

If you’re interested in leveling up your ability to design and paint in gouache check the link in my bio to join my mentorship! by @taylerolivasart

Here’s a lil sneak peek at my setup I’ve been using to break in my new sketchbook in prep for my course @sentientacademy launching this June focusing on gouache techniques!

I’ve always been updating my setup and finding ways to be more comfortable with painting in studio. I try to make sure that everything is where I need it, and the simpler the setup the better imo. by @taylerolivasart

Breaking in my new sketchbook with some black-and-white studies! 🖌️✨

Want to master gouache for your plein air, illustrations, or personal projects? Join me this summer to elevate your skills!

From plein-air to pro-level polish—this 16-week course fuses traditional grit with digital slick. You’ll start with bold B&W studies, build composition chops, then dive into color, mood, and atmosphere like a boss. Analyze lighting and narrative from film, games, and tools like Mapcrunch. Create environments that feel like places, not just pretty pictures. Wrap it all up with a personal project, weekly critiques, and a portfolio that screams “hire me.” Nature meets design. Observation meets imagination. You meet your next creative leap.

Big country vibes! 🤠 ⛅️ ⛰️

Brushing up my skills by doing a couple of master studies in gouache. I’ve been trying to burn in some of the large landscape vibes that artists like Maynard Dixon captured so well when studying the west.
