POSTS STORIES REELS

Some of my fall hopefuls🍁

Dark and moody reads (or just ones with fall vibes) are some of my favorites! With how busy I’ve been and how slow my reading pace feels, I’d say this may be too ambitious. There’s also so many more! I don’t really set tbrs so this could so get mixed up by new releases or just whatever pulls my attention (mood reading is a gift and a curse).

If I should bump any of these up my list lmk! by @tcs.bookshelf

I haven’t been posting much, but I have still been reading!

Finally starting dungeon crawler Carl with a little work book club, and I’m so excited! From the bit I have read I can already tell it’s super unique, and I’m exited to take some time to really get into it. by @tcs.bookshelf

Happy National book lovers day!

Reading is one of my favorite things to do (obviously), and I have plenty of pictures of my reads or the books I own. A lot of the pictures in this post show the local bookish communities I love to support, or highlight a few books/authors I’ve found through the online book space.

Buy local, support small authors, and find/make a space for yourself in the physical and online book community <3 by @tcs.bookshelf

Reading tourist season while doing touristy things (finding the local bookstore)

Such a fun vacay read, I’m excited to see how things play out in harvest season! by @tcs.bookshelf

My goodies from indie bookstore weekend <3

I couldn’t hit everywhere I wanted because I got busy, but that just means more indies for me to explore in the future!

I was trying to avoid starting new series (I have so many first books rn and need to start committing) but I couldn’t resist some of these.

Playing some catch up, but I still wanted to share :)

It’s been a busy few months with school, traveling, moving, and working so my reading definitely slowed down. Trying to be nice to myself about it and mood reading a lot to make sure I don’t get in a slump!

(I didn’t add my audiobooks, across both months I listened to the folk of the air trilogy as a reread, so they’re all a yes!) by @tcs.bookshelf

Everything I read on my spring break trip🌸

Still not my Feb recap, but I always like these posts so I wanted to make one. Plus I get to share some of the things I saw/did on this account too. We packed a lot into the time we had so my priority was definitely enjoying the trip over reading, but I’m pretty happy with what I did read! by @tcs.bookshelf

Feb recap: short but busy in the best way by @tcs.bookshelf

A little over a week into Feb and I finally had time to finish my January wrap up! I went with a different format for this one. I didn’t dislike any books last month, so instead of my regular slides and a yappy caption I went for little blurbs of my opinions/thoughts instead. by @tcs.bookshelf

Little book hauls so far in 2026 :) basically a peak at my tbr, except some of these will definitely be in my January wrap up (working on that rn!) and I tend to mood read… by @tcs.bookshelf

Throne of Glass❤️‍🔥

Ok I finished my tog reread so obviously I need to yap about it. Tog is undoubtedly my favorite series. I first read Throne of Glass in 2017 and now i literally talk to anyone (who reads) who will listen to me about it, especially if they’ve also read it. This was my third reread and I love the characters and story more every time. It’s been really special to read this when I was so young (like middle school), then through highschool, and now in college. It feels like this series has been a friend with me through it all so it’s insanely special to me.

That being said, I feel like just sharing my thoughts after this last read. If you haven’t read tog don’t read on, I don’t want to ruin your experience with spoilers!

My takes (probably lukewarm, maybe a little hot) with little explanation (feel free to chime in and we can yap):

I think Assassins Blade third is correct

Tower of Dawn isn’t a bad book on its own, but the tandem read is a better reading experience

Dorian’s story doesn’t have a full conclusion and his is one of the saddest because of that

Sam and Celaenas story has more impact after he’s dead (which is part of why I would recommend AB 3rd!)

Chaol isn’t a bad guy, he was just insecure and scared when his world started changing as he knew it

tog is considerably better than acotar

I can’t imagine Nesryn being Empress at all…

One of the main main characters probably shouldve died (but I’m not mad they didn’t yk)

Aelin is just better than most other fmcs (and Rowan tbh for love interests)

Queen of shadows isn’t in my top three books of the series

Dorian definitely goes and finds mort

I definitely have more and none of these are crazy, just things I’ve been thinking of this time around (and I just wanted an excuse to make a dedicated post about it 🙂‍↕️). I’ll probably come back to this post and leave more thoughts as they come because I think about this series basically every day ! by @tcs.bookshelf

Bookish Christmas haul🎄

I also got another bookshelf and some gift cards (which may or may not have already been used…)

Excited for all my new reads and to set up a new display! by @tcs.bookshelf
