Posted @withrepost β€’ @rach13131 OCRWC 2022 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ I knew it wouldn't be the World Champs I wanted but it was the best experience I could've asked for. The 3K and Team Race were full of many highs and lows... I don't think I've ever laughed, cried and cheered so much in a race weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better team @ocr_shakey and @ashleypeter01 you guys totally crushed it and were patient with me during that final bloody obstacle 🀣 Thank you for an enjoyable race and your support. To have @dave.peters86, @fitiq_louocr, @j_mawlam, @ocr_shakey in my corner and @juliebotwoodx & @p_c_rainbow cheering from home kept my spirits up and it was so greatly appreciated πŸ’šπŸ’œ @ashleypeter01 made a spectacular rumble debut.. completing most of the obstacles like they were nothing! Annoying🀣 Well done to Team UK and your amazing podiums. Cheering you guys on has been one of the highlights for me. You are inspiring and amazing! @dave.peters86 we have some work to do πŸ˜†πŸ‘€πŸ₯³πŸ’œπŸ’š @rumblefitness_uk @teamuk_ocr_official @ocrwc by @teamuk_ocr_official

Posted @withrepost β€’ @naomiimitchellocr Spartan European Championships 2022 This race had SO many highs and lows. It was all going to plan until I hit Stairway to Spartan 2.0 πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ As many of you know, I set myself the goal of completing this obstacle with it being one of the obstacles I've always ended up taking the penalty. 17 minutes I spent at this obstacle refusing to give in. I must have bounced myself off that wall at least 30+ times! There were tears of frustration, doubt creeping in and of course it was hard watching all the females pass. Did I want to give in and take the penalty loop? Hell yes! Did I give in? Absolutely not. It wasnt until @es_oppwarrior pulled me aside to give me some advice that I FINALLY managed to get across πŸ₯³ What wasn't captured on video was the moment I burst into tears to Emily as I genuinely believe that if it wasn't for her advice, I wouldn't have completed it. The amount of support received during that moment was unbelievable so thank you to every single one of you that kept cheering despite the amount of times I was bouncing off that wall like a bouncy ball 🀣 I knew I had to start pushing a bit harder to catch up but not long after completing Stairway to Sparta, my lower back went. Each kilometre it got worse to the point I had to lie on the ground at each obstacle. By 14km, running was impossible. This is when I knew it was going to be a case of just cross the finishing line. The last 2km was AGONY to the point I could feel my body slowly going into shock. This is when the amazing @jonchatty walked alongside me to keep me going, pushing me to finish and trying to distract me from the pain. Jon, you are one in a million! Thank you! It's fair to say, I feel like I bluddy earned that medal!! I didn't complete the course in great time or position BUT I ticked off a number of goals and crossed the line despite feeling like a total cripple 🀣 #spartan #spartanrace #spartaneuropeanchampionship #spartanuk22 #spartanathlete #spartanagegroup #spartanstrong #spartans #spartanwomen #spartanup #aroo #ukocr #ocruk #scottishocr #teamukocr #teamgritocr #allgritnoquit #ocr #ocrathlete #ocrlife #ocrrunner #ocrgirl #ocrracing by @teamuk_ocr_official
Posted @withrepost β€’ @jonabs1 Stairway 3.0 Last week this time I was feeling really rusty. Only 3 competitive events in the year, (one being the #hackneyhalfmarathon) was showing it's self after the #ocrwc3k Arms felt a bit heavy after the event and had to do another one the next day with 4 times more distance and obstacles. This was a new one to me so had to navigate it as I was on it. I find that I can look at an obstacle all day, and try and plan how I'm going to attack it, only for things to change as I progress. I was aiming to go up this obstacle forward or backwards like the original stairway which is fixed and wooden. Only to find my body going up it sideways naturally, as there is so much movement in each step. So I didn't fight it and just went with the flow. Just one of the awesome #UKOCRJuniors that was representing #TeamUKOCR at #OCRWC2022 πŸ‘πŸ». The team loved meeting you @_kt.ocr and we can’t wait to see how you progress! Posted @withrepost β€’ @_kt.ocr One of the hardest races i have ever done, unfortunately did not get 100% obstacle completion after a bicep injury within the first kilometre before a huge 800 metre elevation up Stratton mountain but still managed to finish. It will be a weekend not forgotten with a great team @teamuk_ocr_official and meeting lots of new people @ocrwc. Posted @withregram β€’ @pocketninjaocr That’s the 2022 OCR European Championships done! It was one of the best experiences of my life. Being able to be a part of Team UK and fly the flag for my adopted home was amazing! Also to prove that no matter how old you are, if you start sport later in life, after you’ve had kids, whatever- hard work and dedication can take you places you’d never imagined! It certainly took me to the mountains of Italy to compete against incredible athletes. Bring on the World Champs in Vermont in September, and hopefully Euros in Hungary 2023! Final Results Short Course - 6th place out of 20 (top 4 kept their bands) Standard Course - 14th place out of 23 (only 1 kept their band) I’m so pleased with my obstacle completion, which was the main focus of the Standard Course, rather than time. I can’t wait to work harder and come back even better! #ocreuropeanchampionships #ocrathlete #OCREC22 #OCR #TeamUKOCR #UKOCR #OCRTeam #Fitness #FitFam #StrongGuys #StrongGirls #GirlsWhoOCR #GuysWhoOCR #InstaFit #TrailRunners #MudRunners #OCR #AkumaFamily #OMRM by @teamuk_ocr_official

Posted @withregram β€’ @ocr_jamesburton The @ocreurochamps national team race. I was selected to run the mens race with @ryan.ibbotson and @mark_dickson_ocr. We ran hard and pushed our way to a provisional 21st in Europe. I also got redemption on the salmon ladder and smashed it after two previous days of failure. Clearly I just didn’t have the grip endurance the previous days, no problems with a few less obstacles. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Powered by: @nuclearphoenixocr @serpiesrc @veloforte @lotuswellbeingclinic @samwinkworth1 #motivation #fitfam #savagerace #fitnessmotivation #nuclearraces #sport #spartanraceuk #running #ocruk #worldobstacle #spartanrace #nuclearfamily #runner #ukosf #ukocr #trailrunning #ninjawarrior #mudrun #nuclearphoenix #lovemud #ocrtraining #spartan #trailrunner #ocr #toughmudder #ocrathlete #ocrec #ocrwc #teamukocr by @teamuk_ocr_official
