Meet recap - Jake at 2026 USAPL The Fall Meet! This was Jake and I’s first meet together and the biggest win from this prep was honestly how much things started clicking toward the end. Squat depth, balance and center-of-mass control were all improving week to week, and bench strength was trending stronger than it had all prep even with the shoulder issues we’ve been working through. In a lot of ways, we probably just needed a little more time for those changes to fully show themselves on meet day. Even so, Jake still came away with a squat PR, tied his deadlift PR, and still added to his total. More importantly, we finished the prep with a much clearer picture of what works for him and what we want to build next. In the offseason we’ll be building up Jake’s work capacity with higher volume and establishing a stronger foundation to build from. Really excited to see what happens when we give these improvements time to develop and address the gaps where we need to. Way more to come for the next meet for Jake, 500 isn’t going to squat itself! 🌊 by @teddlift
This account started when I first hit the 1000 pound club so I feel it’s only right to check back in when I hit 1000 pound club again with 2 lifts. My shoulder is pretty banged up so it’s gonna be a while before I bench heavy again Slide 2: 240kg/530lbs Slide3: 213.5kg/470lbs Slide4: 227.5kg/501lbs (I just thought this one looked fast) Rare physique check at the end. Definitely still fluffy but on my way to eventually competing as an 82kg. by @teddlift
First meet was a great time. Competed at 90kg weight class (weighed 88.15kg) and totaled 585kg. Squat: 180✅ 190✅ 202.5✅ Bench: 140✅ 147.5✅ 155❌ Deadlift: 210✅ 227.5✅ 235✅ Missed my third bench but made up for it with a 5kg deadlift pr. Had a blast competing with everyone. Big shoutout to @jack_of_the_shack for all the help on meet day, and ofc to my coach @maxcristwright for working with me and getting me ready for my first meet. Despite having to go to Texas 2 weeks out, we made it work. Another huge thank you to my amazing friends and family for coming to watch and cheering me on. It means a lot. I will definitely be back in the future, with far more weight on the bar. by @teddlift
