If you’re doing all the wellness things and still feeling burned out, this one’s for you.

A little tea from my time working in corporate wellness. I was literally designing wellness programs, doing all the things, and somehow felt the most unwell I’d ever been.

That experience eventually sent me around the world to explore what wellness looks like in different cultures, and completely changed my perspective.

Here’s to making wellness feel a little less like work and a lot more like living.

Resurfacing this incredible conversation at the @weareunitedforhumanity event! Thank you for having me!

We’re bringing back an absolute gem from The WellZest Podcast with Marat Omarov, founder of The ARK (@theark.world) a regenerative village in Costa Rica.

In this clip, Marat shares three surprisingly simple changes we can make to live a more regenerative lifestyle. From reconnecting with nature to rethinking how we relate to one another, his perspective offers a refreshing way to think about our everyday well-being.

Some of these wellness trends have us wondering if people are confusing self-care with torture.

Between borax baths and bizarre cleanses, we don’t know what to make of it all.

Seriously, what’s the craziest wellness trend you’ve ever heard of or actually tried? Tell us in the comments.

Something has been bothering me a bit lately…

Everywhere I turn, there seems to be another thing we’re supposed to be doing to optimize our health and well-being. Another supplement, another protocol, another wellness trend to keep up with.

More and more, I’m hearing people say that trying to stay healthy has started to feel stressful and overwhelming.

Now, anyone who knows me knows I love all my biohacking things. (Yay for red light therapy and whatnot!) So this may sound a little hypocritical because I am genuinely excited about innovation in wellness.

But somewhere along the way, I can’t help feeling that we’ve lost the plot. It feels like we’re overlooking some of the most fundamental things that make us well.

In today’s journal entry, I’m sharing a few thoughts about where I think modern wellness is getting it wrong, including some things I’ve been wanting to say out loud for a while.

I’d love to hear what you think. Check out the full article, link in bio.

When #SantaMonica starts feeling more like #PalmSprings with a dash of #Mykonos 🌡️🔥🪩#laheatwave #santamonicapier by @tejuowoye

I can’t believe it’s been 10 official years since I registered Sulte Group. It’s crazy how time flies.

I’ve been reminiscing and thinking about everything I’ve learned along the way. And I wanted to share a few musings from my last decade of entrepreneurship.

Spoiler alert: two of the biggest takeaways are that hustle culture is a lie and relationships are key.

I created a full post about this in my journal, which you can find on my website. In the journal entry, I talk about what to do when the money is not moneying as an entrepreneur, the shame that can come when things do not work out while you are building your business, and a few other musings that I have not shared on social media.

Head over to my journal (link in my bio) to check it out.

For all of my other entrepreneur friends, what are some things you have learned on your journey? Share them in the comments.

Bathing is one of the most powerful rituals we have. Across cultures, bathing carries a deeper meaning, from spiritual cleansing and renewal to relaxation and recovery.

While filming In the Name of Beauty, I’ve had the opportunity to experience some incredible bathing traditions around the world. Here are four of my favorites!

1. Balinese Flower Bath in Bali, Indonesia

I experienced the gorgeous Flower Bath Celebration at Putri Bali Spa in Ubud. The warm water was covered in fragrant local flowers and Balinese rose petals, creating a beautiful sensory experience surrounded by lush tropical greenery.

2. Mandi Bunga in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Mandi Bunga is a traditional Malay flower bath associated with spiritual cleansing, renewal and major life transitions. The ritual may be overseen by a bomoh, a traditional healer, and incorporates fragrant flowers and botanicals.

3. Hinoki Enzyme Bath in Kyoto, Japan

This was one of the most unusual bathing experiences I’ve had! Instead of soaking in water, I was buried in fragrant hinoki wood shavings heated through natural fermentation. The shavings were 140°F/60°C, so it was seriously hot! We’re featuring this experience in an upcoming episode, so I won’t give too much away.

4. Red Dao Herbal Bath in Hanoi, Vietnam

The Red Dao women have passed down their knowledge of medicinal herbs and bathing traditions for generations. These baths are traditionally used for relaxation and recovery, with herbal recipes that vary between families.

I actually had a cold when we filmed this, and I left feeling rejuvenated and noticeably less congested. The water was incredibly silky, and the entire experience was beautiful.

I’m already thinking about where we should go next!

What bathing rituals around the world should I explore in the next season of In the Name of Beauty?

Can you imagine a wellness recipe being passed down through generations, only through the women in your family?

In this clip from In the Name of Beauty, our host Teju learns more about the Red Dao herbal bath and the tradition behind its closely held recipe. She also learns how the bath has traditionally been used by Red Dao women after giving birth to support recovery.

I love the change of a season because it feels like a fresh start. I like to take inventory of what’s working, what needs work, and what clutter needs clearing to make room for what’s next.

I’ve been having conversations with other founders about the habits that quietly eat up our time, energy, and mental bandwidth. Here are a few on my fall clearing list:

1. Treating busyness like a badge of honor. I love getting things done, so I have to call myself out on this one. It’s easy to fill a day without asking what actually deserves our time. This fall, I’m treating constant busyness as a warning sign and being more intentional about what makes it onto my calendar.

2. Keeping our phones on 24/7. One of the most unexpected things I loved about #BurningMan was having almost no cell service. I hadn’t realized how much mental bandwidth constant connectivity was taking up. Our brains need quiet, so I’m trying a Sunday shutdown and putting my phone away for a few hours each week.

3. Scheduling everything except creative work. I’ve learned this repeatedly: thinking, writing, and making things need protected space on the calendar. It’s easy to give meetings and other people’s priorities the best hours of the day, leaving our own work whatever time remains. I’m tightening that up this season.

4. Trying to out-caffeinate exhaustion. I’m working on listening when my body tells me it’s tired instead of reaching for another espresso. That said, if you see me out in these streets drinking a matcha followed by a coffee, please don’t judge. 😂😂 I’m still a work in progress!

It’s powerful to reflect on what’s eating up our time and energy, then decide what needs to hit the scrap pile.

What’s making your fall clearing list?

Burning Man was such a visual feast. I’m still in awe of all the incredible artwork, art cars, and just the sheer amount of creativity everywhere you look.

And it’s MASSIVE. It’s truly impossible to see it all. Every time I hopped on my bike and started riding around the playa, I’d stumble across something I just couldn’t believe.

Here are just a few of the cool things I saw cycling around the playa from day to night… and this doesn’t even scratch the surface!

How I thought I was going to dress at Burning Man vs. how I actually dressed at Burning Man. 😂

For years, I’d seen all the fabulous girlies serving fashion on the playa, and I had absolutely planned to do the same.

But when I got there, the playa had other plans for me. Between the wind, the rain, and the dust, your girl just could not get it together.

All those outfits I packed just to end up roaming around the desert with trash bags on my feet and a random Van Gogh jacket. 😂😂😂

Fashion week it was not.

Oh, Burning Man. So much to unpack…
