ECHO PARK//ANGELINO HEIGHTS SUBLET 🦢 :: June 3rd - June 28th :: $1675 including utilities 1 bedroom stand alone bungalow walking distance to the lake and all Sunset shops. Nestled under Jacaranda and Fig trees. Renting my sweet little tree house sanctuary for most of the month of June. This place feels like you’re outside of the city yet is a stones throw from so many places. I lived here without a car for several months and had access to everything I needed, rare for LA! No couples or pets. Must be clean and respectful. 🪷 by @tender.hearth
Closing out a fire is just as important as starting one. One of my favorite phases of fire tending is when it is burned down to a bed of coals. The light dancing. The air pockets popping. The warmth radiating. I receive the most insight and calm during this stage before the fire falls completely asleep. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: There is still space in next weekend’s fire making class in LA! Dive deep into the ancient art of fire-making, the way our ancestors held and shared the craft for thousands and thousands of years! :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: DM to join // check out the pinned class post in my profile for more details. Looking forward to seeing some of you by the fire on March 21st to welcome in the SPRING!! 🌸 by @tender.hearth

This being transforms and catalyzes life, story, and ritual. They have been one of my most profound teachers and I’m excited to share this connective art with you. In this class I will share how to build and sustain a fire from the landscape :: to gather wood, create a fire structure, and practice both the bow drill and hand drill methods of friction fire. This month marks fifteen years of practicing fire making and “survival”//earth skills. Fifteen years of literal blood, sweat, and tears because water brings fire and fire brings water. What a gift to love something deeply enough to follow its thread for so long. I am forever grateful for my connection to this element and all the ways I have grown through it. Excited to be offering another Fire Class in the LA area next month, to continue following the thread and passing along strands to others who want to carry the flame. 🪡🧵🔥 ‎𐫰COURTING FIRE𐫰 :: intro to fire by friction:: LOS ANGELES CLASS 𓆈𓆈𓆈𓆈𓆈 ::::::: Altadena ::::::: ⚘ Saturday Oct 19th ::::::::: 12-5pm :::::::: Sliding Scale $100-$150 Snacks and refreshments provided ♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎ DM to sign up or email: tender.hearth.craft@gmail.com **two reduced price BIPOC slots available at $55** 𖣔 Fire is the life force of us all:: the Sun we revolve around, the stove at the center of our homes, the lava core of our Earth, and the energy feeding all life on this planet. my favorite fireworks 💐 . . praying for independence from capitalism. independence from fossil fuels. independence from patriarchy. independence from white supremacy. independence from tyrannical, maniacal genocide. praying for liberation for all. praying for LAND BACK. praying for a complex biodiverse ecosystem. praying for the fireworks show that is billions of flowers blooming with pollen-drunk bees taking naps in their billowing petals. may we be those drunk bees one day. interdependence day for all. . . by @tender.hearth

JANUARY FIRE CLASS ꧂ ꥟ in two weeks we’ll be gathering under a glorious pink peppercorn tree at the base of the san gabriel mountains in Altadena (just outside LA) to talk about the ancient art of Fire. ꥟ just a few days later is Imbolc… a holy-day on the wheel of the year traditionally celebrated by pre-christian, northern europeans. it marks the mid-way point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox… in the deepest part of winter the light grows just a little brighter every day and Imbolc is a day to remember that the Sun is coming back to us, that all of our creative seeds are germinating under the soils. if we keep our candles lit and fires burning, our endeavors will bloom and fruit anew in the coming seasons. ꥟ there is no better time to step deeper into courtship with the element of Fire. join me to learn ways of cultivating and tending fire from the land. this craft is deeply empowering and helps us feel more connected to our ancestors and the earth. ꥟ see my pinned post for details, and DM to join! hope to see you there. by @tender.hearth
