Sometimes, we are not afraid that we are inadequate. We are afraid of what might happen if we fully embrace our abilities.

In this powerful passage from Marianne Williamson's A Return to Love, we are reminded that hiding our gifts does not serve the world. Our courage to shine can inspire others to do the same.

Don't shrink to make yourself acceptable. Give yourself permission to become.

The quiet ranking in your mind 🧠

Some subconscious acts come from love, but they can still do harm. Benevolent condescension is when you help someone in a way that says "you can't do this." Unconscious condescension shows up in your tone, your reactions, and your jokes.

You're not a bad person. You just need to be more self-aware.
Self-awareness begins when you examine not just what you intended, but what your behaviour communicates.

We came with flags and songs, they came fiery and freezing, a paradox of smoke and blood. Metal sang a cruel song, clanging , hissing, tearing through the air like an old kettle left too long on fire. Body thuds! Men fell like logs, flesh ripped like rags. Body thuds, then silence. The sky forgot to breathe, forgot the color blue but embraced red..
Many went and never returned, they're just rivers begging to flow, sleep well my comrades, sleep well for your bloods did not dry in vain.

It doesn't have to make sense.

Art transcends the need for logic or clarity. Sometimes you just need to embrace the chaotic beauty of your thoughts and ideas without the constraints of conventional reasoning.

In a world that constantly demands clarity and coherence, your work may not resonate with others right away, or even with you at times. That's okay. The journey of creation is not always linear. It's filled with twists and turns, moments of doubt, and bursts of insight.

You don't have to have it all figured out. Allow yourself the grace to create without the burden of expectation. Whether it makes sense to others, or even to yourself, is secondary

I joined the challenge about asking ChatGPT to warn people before they meet you. My guy too talk 😂

Turns out I'm not one creative person, I'm an entire department that decided to live inside one human being. 🎭
Screenwriter. Playwright. Dramaturg. Actor. Director. Graphic Designer. Creative Strategist. Project Manager. Children's Theatre Practitioner. Performance Poet. Coach/tutor.

I think in stories, I'm allergic to "that's just how things are," and apparently my different skills feed each other whether I like it or not.

Try this challenge yourself and tag me in yours. I want to see what it says about YOU.

On Saturday morning I had an intellectual discussion with some thespians in the heart of Abuja, and most of them believed that whites are responsible for every negative thing that happened to Africans, especially during colonialism. But I took a different standpoint: I believe they merely did business, and most of our forefathers agreed to it because of European influence and wealth. If we had all stood our ground like Menelik, we wouldn't have been colonized. Coincidentally, I saw a video about Madam Tinubu, showing how she would rather drown her slaves than sell them at a discount. I couldn't help but share my thoughts on my WhatsApp status.

I converted my status into a carousel so y'all can see it.

Do you think the whites are 100% responsible for the evils of colonialism and post-colonialism? Drop your opinions in the comments section.
