Good morning! Suz here….Aaron and I just returned from Southwest Regional Folk Alliance in Austin. While I am still a newbie to the folk scene, Aaron is a fixture and has so many beautiful friendships in this community. I am proud to be by his side and grateful to be calling his friends my friends too. We listened to some outstanding artists and got to share some of Aaron’s songs. Here’s a snippet of “Mercy” during one of our showcases. Thank you Heather Miller @humsongs for the video. (Stay tuned for our Second Saturday posts-we’ve got a couple of doozies headed to Harrison for Oct 10) by @thataaronsmith

Rolling into Weekend Two at Kerrville like… 🌿🎶☀️🫧🍻🤠 We have a small lineup update for this weekend: Lucy Wainwright Roche, who was scheduled to open the show, has had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict with her tour with the Indigo Girls. We’ll miss having Lucy with us this year, but we’re sending her all the good road magic. In her place, we’re thrilled to welcome a very special New Folk Camp Counselors ITR featuring Andrew Delaney, K.C. Clifford, Aaron Smith, and Miles & Mafale. These are seasoned songwriters with Kerrville roots, rich stories, sharp craft, and the kind of songs that remind us why this place has always been a gathering ground for writers, listeners, and late-night chorus carriers. Come settle in, discover something new, and help us welcome Weekend Two home. 🎟️ Tickets & info: kerrvillefolkfestival.org #welcomehome by @thataaronsmith

April 11th, folks. We are beyond excited for you to meet and listen to Sara Beth and Nathan K. Here’s a bit about our friends: A 2025 Kerrville New Folk Winner and 2024 finalist, Sara Beth pairs heartfelt songwriting with whimsical stop-motion visuals—songs you can see as well as hear. She also co-wrote “Hurt People,” featured on Tim McGraw’s Poet’s Resumé EP. Of the band Stepdad, Nathan has played large stages across the U.S. and Canada, and now tours intimate rooms with his wife, Sara Beth. His songs put life under a microscope, revealing the funny side of grief and the tender side of the unexpected. For reservations call 870-204-5702 by @thataaronsmith
