!WARNING: SPOILERS! The Winter’s Tale Act 2 synopsis by the wonderful Matt Hellyer! Tickets for Winter’s Tale are on sale now! #chicagotheatre #chicagoevents #theatre #shakespeare by @thatcattymatty
Fault - from an expletive-filled self tape and an eleventh hour email, to zoom rehearsals from LA and many days spent on the pier, this has been an unforgettable understudy experience. It was an absolute pleasure to watch the work of @enricocolantoni_really @becspe and @nickamarini every night, and to simply spend time in their presence. Powerhouse talents, but even better people. And @jalexander1959 is a gem of a human as well, warm, kind, and a heck of a director (feel free to meet your heroes if they’re anything like him). And what a wicked world the words of @scooterpietsch created: a life or death, cuffs and swordstick, pantless playground. To all those mentioned above, to everyone at @chicagoshakes and especially to my fellow understudies @melaniejkeller and Ryan Kitley, thanks for the work and the play, and I hope to see you soon! And finally, to my lovely reader @tessadoc8 it wouldn’t have happened without you 😘 by @thatcattymatty
Some moments of 2025, but mainly just what my camera was pointed at AKA @tessadoc8 (a lot) 😘 by @thatcattymatty
Joined the Black Parade, watched the Fall(?) of Draag, still just a Rat in a Cage. From main stage to B stage, getting in, out, and all around, this was an incredible, memorable night with my punky @tessadoc8 🖤 #mcrchicago #mychemicalromance by @thatcattymatty
What. A. Dream! I’m still buzzing over the absolute honor it was to portray the High Lord for @courtofdreamsevents (and honestly, it was such a blast to do more reading for a role than EVER!) Having a picture perfect High Lady at my side didn’t hurt either, nor an Inner Circle that epitomizes squad goals. If you’re in the market for fun people and fun events you won’t forget, check out @shehive815 Credit for the prettiest of these pictures goes to the fine @alexisnicholsphotography and big thanks to @ash.ink.llc for laying down the bargains and bonds #acotar #nightcourt #courtofdreams #feysand by @thatcattymatty
Floopy hair, bad mustaches, and a nice tie can take you far #worldtheatreday by @thatcattymatty
The Inner Circle got lost on their way to Rita’s and ended up in Rockford instead. 🫣 #rockfordil #fantasyball #starfall #fantasyevents #acotar #sjm #sarahjmaas #acotarcosplay #cosplay #courtofdreams #fae #faecosplay by @thatcattymatty
Lords and ladies, llamas and lips, Shakespeare, stages, swords, and screens. The latter half of 2024, lots of it spent with @tessadoc8 😘 by @thatcattymatty
2024 p. 1 Just half a year packs a lot! Mustaches, Mad Hatters, Mickey Mouse and more! by @thatcattymatty
Some summer faces and places, and plenty of summer lovin. From an Alice event and Cinderelly party with @princesspartybymc to filming commercials for @drinkbubblr and @drinkcarbliss to seeing @drunkshakespeare and @medievaltimes_chicago plus a few birthdays thrown in… as other last slide shows, plenty of faces, plenty of them happy, which is the default with @tessadoc8 😘😘😘 by @thatcattymatty
The incomparable Frederick- Just as Mr. Olmstead took no shortcuts in developing Central Park, the wonderful folks @wonderhuntco tended to every detail and created something truly beautiful. I can’t say enough how much LOVED working on this project and the lovely people I got to work with! Go to Wonderhunt.co to see the final film! Credit to @benjaminjsuter for these BTS videos and stills, praises to @matthewroth_film and @thematthew_t for capturing the cleanest moving images and crispest sound, and thanks to @nickbenwah for assembling this team and bringing this story to life! by @thatcattymatty
