6/30/26- Kayla day was such a beautiful turn out I want to thank my family, friends, the sponsors, vendors, and most importantly ALL of Kayla friends that showed up in honor and memory of our Kayla Bayla 🥲💕🕊️

I really was just living in the moment that day the love & support is so real 🤞🏽 I honestly didn’t even have time to sit and reflect on it really being a whole year since the loss of my daughter b/c TRULY I feel her absence EVERYDAY. The pain of losing her is embedded in my soul.
It’s always just been us two … You can do everything right as a parent, never perfect but just right and somehow I still ended up facing the biggest loss of my life, a loss I could never imagine would be possible to me. I wish like hell I could have protected her that day. I think about that day often til it pains me to think about it 😣. My only daughter her death has truly broken my spirit in many ways but I still fight this fight daily & show up because I know that’s what she would want of me b/c her life mattered 💓 In just 16 years she truly left a legacy behind so honorable and admirable. #thaBiggestBrat 💕 Kayla story will always be heard…

c/o 2026 was her year, prom & graduation we had plans and within a blink of an eye her life was stolen so young so tragically, so selfishly, and violently she did not deserve that 😪

To my young ladies: if something doesn’t feel right, and you are being shown constant red flags please speak up about it 😢 we are here, no matter the time or distance ….

Grief is hard and it truly does come in waves ..
When I close my eyes I see her so vividly her laugh, her smile even the attitudes. the memories of her are so crystal i pray to god they never fade away. But sometimes IT IS so painful to just think of her and the thoughts of never seeing her again is unbearable 💔
As the years goes by forever is a long time and If there is an afterlife beyond this one I can’t wait for the day we meet again because I miss her so much! I just need to hug her, kiss her, and tell her how much I love her, how much I adored her, and how the best chapter of my life was with her 💔

July 14th 2025 I buried my 1 and only daughter MY WORLD my Mini me 💕💗😪 I am still in a state of disbelief. I feel like my life has ended and I’m just here breathing and existing 😣 . Everyday I face this pain and I still cannot fathom this. I wouldn’t wish this pain on no parent 😥 my soul is crushed 💔😔 I feel defeated and empty😢 truly for me time will never be enough to grasp to this new reality 💔 I don’t ever wana get over the pain of losing my only daughter, my child. My teenage princess 💓 I feel selfish continuing to live a normal life w/o her cuz honestly LIFE ISN’T NORMAL FOR ME ANYMORE 😪, I don’t know why this happened to you Kayla but Mommy loves you so much! I am so hurt! I wasn’t done raising you beautiful, 16 beautiful years was not enough ! every moment I enjoyed watching u grow 🦋 even at times when I felt like u was moving to fast u would always remind me “Mom I got this” please tell me “u got me” please wrap ya arms around me when I sleep, when I weep 😢 Cuz In fact I need u more than ever now 🫂💗😪 me and your dad laid you to rest so beautifully, naturally I am a MOTHER and I have to take care of you even in your absence 🥹, you are our princess and we MISS U SO MUCH!

Your family, friends, and the city is devastated behind your tragic loss 💔 u talked about God and getting closer to him and now I know he has u right beside him. 🥹 It saddens me to know you have become a memory 💭 and that you are truly at peace now from this evil world 😪 but this was not the peace we expected 🥹 the ever lasting impressions and impact u left on ppl lives in just 16 years will forever be honorable 🙏🏿 that laugh was contagious your smile is unforgettable 😔🥲
It’s not enough words that can express how I feel ….

My dearest daughter, I got through another summer w/o you and just to think this shit is forever 😢 like my summers will never hit the same again. Because it will always be a constant reminder of when you were taken away from me 6/27-6/30. when I had to bury you 😢 7/14 then your birthday 8/26. The summers always belonged to you.

My days are heavy just as much as my 💔
I am much quieter now cuz I often get lost in my thoughts reliving the times of how life was with you here and imagining what your future would’ve been like …

I learned so much about myself when you made me a mom. You taught me patience, you taught me how to love, nurture, and take care. I miss everything about you, and about us. I wish I had more time with you. I hate that u died so young, I hate that you was there alone w/ ppl that should have never had the privilege of being around you 😢 that’s what really hurts the most. I’ll NEVER get over ya death Kayla and even tho u are no longer here physically i am learning each day to just embrace ya spirit more and more accepting the grace and gratitude of being your mom 🥲 taking the good w/ the bad cuz u sent me Ka’el, THANK YOU he looks just like you! Omgg he’s truly everythinggg . But please just know I would choose you in every life time my daughter 🤞🏽until we meet again. Continue to help me, guide me and watch over me and your brother 🩵

I love you Poodie! Xo your Mom ♾️

🕊️ Forever 16. Forever Loved. Forever Kayla Bayla💕🕊️

One year later, the pain is still real, but so is our purpose.

We want to sincerely thank every single person who came out to stand with our family as we honored the life and legacy of our beloved Kayla Bayla, whose life was taken far too soon at just 16 years old due to senseless domestic gun violence.

Your love, prayers, hugs, and support reminded us that we are not carrying this burden alone. Because of all of you, this day became more than a memorial it became a movement for peace, healing, awareness, and protecting our young people.

As a family, we promise to remain strong and continue carrying Kayla’s light forward. Her story will continue to inspire us to speak up against domestic violence, end gun violence, and fight for a future where no family has to experience this kind of heartbreak.

A special thank you to our incredible community partners who helped make this event a success:
🤝 Brick City Peace Collective
🤝 OVPTR Newark
🤝 Campbell House Cares
🤝 Broken Wings Still Fly
🤝 Pushh Forward

Together, we turned pain into purpose. Together, we planted seeds of hope. Together, we proved that love will always be stronger than violence.

Kayla Bayla’s light will shine forever. 💕🕊️

My dearest daughter I’m missing you more than the years I had with you 🥹 NEVER imagined it’ll hurt this much to just think of you. It’ll be 4 months soon and Everyday I wish I can wake up from this nightmare but it’s truly my reality, and I hate this for me. I hate that your life ended so tragically so young 💔 you was so full of life, so energetic, so carefree, so fearless and So LOVED! You lived your 16 years of life to the fullest , and it saddens me to the core, to the pit of my stomach, and to the depths of my soul you’re not here anymore to keep shining and living, So much Potential ⭐️🥺

Like WOW I cannot believe this is my life now. Our home is so quiet & boring, i miss cooking for you. I miss you waking up at 6am running your shower water, on the phone loud talking, and me telling u to keep it down and you cooking your breakfast and running the sink water all at once. I miss you calling & texting me 😔 My Kayla MY GOD this pain hurts like no other 💔 the GREATEST HEARTBREAK EVER! God I wish I had more time with you 😢 I miss EVERYTHING about you! Cannot believe this boy took u away from the 1 person who love u the most! I wanted to see u WIN so bad! I was suppose to be beside you forever! I got your back forever! Even in your absence 🪽. I was always ya biggest cheerleader and biggest fan! 💖 still is 😔 Please know I’ll never forget about you and I’ll forever mourn you til I join you! ( like you can really see this 😣🥺) The day we reunite is the day I will be happy and at peace…. Until then all I have is these pictures and memories of you and I’ma keep grinding just for you 💰
