The boyhood vow to "never be like him" is the exact trap that keeps him in control of your life.

When a father breaks his son’s heart—through absence, volatility, or emotional withdrawal—the boy doesn't just feel grief. He makes a survival pact with himself.

He looks at his father’s flaws and swears he will become the opposite.

If the father was angry, the son kills his own fire.

If the father was selfish, the son abandons his own needs.

If the father took up too much space, the son learns to shrink.

We call this empathy, or being "a good man."

In reality, it is a somatic amputation. In trying to cut the father out of our psyche, we sever our own backbone, aggression, and instinctual authority.

Living as the inverse of your father isn't freedom. It is still a life completely dictated by him.

True sovereignty doesn't come from proving you are nothing like him. It comes from reclaiming the grounded power and vital instincts you exiled in order to survive him.

Swipe through to see how this plays out.

Understanding this pattern conceptually in your head won't unlock it from your body.

If you are ready to stop living in reaction to your past and reclaim your own true authority, check out my 1-on-1 4 Somatic Container via the link in my bio—or DM me READY for details 🫡

Everyone tells you to "just stay present" when are trying to heal.

But trying to remain present through willpower alone is almost impossible, especially when your body is carrying old survival charge.

The past isn’t just a collection of memories stored only in your head—it lives as unresolved tension throughout your physical body—your chest, your gut, and your jaw.

Trying to force your mind into the present while your body feels unsafe only creates more stress.

Real presence isn't a mental trick. It’s a bottom-up shift.

When you stop overanalyzing your thoughts and gently drop your attention into the raw physical sensations in your body, the survival loop starts working to completion.

Stop trying to heal only what occurs in your mind. Work with you body and your mind will follow.

Why is it so hard to let go of who you used to be?

You might have heard about 'identity shifting' to help you change your life. But almost no-one tells you why it feels like an internal war when you try to do it.

The reason you struggle to let go of your old self is because deep down you still believe you are that person.

Spiritual teachers point to a deeper truth - you are not a person at all. You are the witness—the observer of your entire experience.

If you only understand this conceptually nothing really changes. You just trade your old ego for a new costume and stay stuck in limbo, never actually arriving.

But when you have the breakthrough experience firsthand of yourself in your purest nature, you know that the character you believed yourself to be is not really who you are.

Upon realising you are not the costume you have been wearing all this time, you gain the freedom to consciously play a new role or step into any new identity—without the heavy attachment.

Drop in the comments which old version of yourself you are letting go of and who you're stepping into 🚀📈

Manhood isn't something you automatically gain. It's something you have to grieve your way into.

Stepping into authentic manhood requires painful initiation. You have to sacrifice the safety net of being rescued, the addiction to a frictionless life, the illusion of keeping your options open and the habit of consuming without contribution.

If you avoid the grieve of these sacrifices you'll stay stuck.

But when you are willing to face the pain and let go of old comforts, a powerful shift happens.

You finally uncover the grounded purpose of your life.

Resilience is not just mental toughness.

Real resilience is physiological.

When stress hits, your nervous system defaults to what its always done: you shut down, numb out, or react on impulse.

The real work isn't ignoring the surge—its training your body to hold the charge without being controlled by it.

Its the gap between impulse and reaction where you find true strength.

If you can stay anchored in your body when everything around you is chaotic, you don't just survive in the pressure, you thrive through it.

Let me know in the comments, how pressure or stress effects you?

You aren’t broken!

Your brain is simply executing a survival program that never learned the war was over.

When we grow up with uncertainty, our nervous system gets stuck scanning for the next catastrophe.

It runs worst-case scenarios not because it hates you, but because mentally preparing for disaster provides a fleeting hit of relief and control.

The catch? You can’t out-think a pattern that lives in your body.

Real calm doesn’t come from arguing with your thoughts or begging for external reassurance.

It comes from teaching your nervous system—through slow, repeated somatic experiences—that the ground beneath you is solid and it’s finally safe to stand down.

Swipe through to see why you’re hooked on worst-case loops and how to start retraining your system today.

Authenticity isn’t a 'mindset shift' or something you put on; it’s what’s left when you stop performing.

Its the unfiltered, raw and real you.

Most of us spend years curating how we think we should sound, look, and feel. We edit ourselves down so we fit in and don't make others uncomfortable.

Everytime you do this, you kick yourself in the face. After years of this behavior, your true Self goes into hiding.

True alignment starts the moment you start listening inwardly instead of looking outward for approval. It’s honoring the quiet signals, trusting your own voice, and letting yourself be seen as you actually are.

Swipe through to unpack to understand the core of what it means to be authentic.

Share it with someone who needs to see it and let me know in the comments what resonated with you the most?

Society praises the grind but often, it’s just an acceptable place to hide.

Many men carry heavy, unhealed pain and use distractions—screens, work, or vices—to build a wall against it.

We isolate to protect ourselves from judgment, but that same wall traps us in silence.

The hardest truth to swallow is that the escape will always cost you more than the cure.

You can’t selectively shut down your emotions without losing your passion for life, too.

Save this post as a reminder for when you're numbing or send it to someone else you think it can help.

You can’t out-think a feeling.

Your anxiety isn't a problem to be solved, it's a physical sensation asking to be felt.

Stop fighting your body.

Feel it to free it.

Read this if you always get in your own way!

First of all, you aren’t broken, and you don’t need fixing.

When we start looking at our actions through the lens of emotional safety rather than willpower, we can finally stop fighting ourselves.

Your conscious mind might want the relationship, the career shift, or the personal growth. But your unconscious emotional life might be terrified of the intimacy, the responsibility, or the unknown that comes with it.

This is not self-sabotage; it’s self-protection.

The moment you realize your unconscious is only trying to protect you is when you can finally work with it to move forward with less resistance.

Save this post as a reminder for the next time you feel stuck, and drop a 💡 in the comments if this shifted your perspective today!

Toxic shame is one of the most painful, invisible and insidious things a person can carry.

Its a deep rooted belief that you at your core are inadequate and will never be good enough.

Most people don't recognise it because it's mostly unconscious. They just notice it's effects — perfectionism, people pleasing, shrinking in certain moments or a inner voice that never stops tormenting you.

But it can be healed.

Not by fixing or improving yourself — because there was never anything wrong with you. But by slowly learning to question the story you were handed about who you are.

If this resonated with you save it or send it to someone you think needs to see it too.

Comment 'Part 2' if you want to go deeper and learn more about how to break free 🔥

Healing isn't about getting rid of parts of you, it's about becoming whole.

You've been taught that certain things about who you are need to be fixed — your intensity, your desires, your anger, your ambition, your need to be seen. So you buried them, you apologised for them and pretend they didn't exist.

But these aren't problems that need to be fixed. They're your power.

Society makes you weak by conditioning the power out of you! Because authentic power is unpredictable. Power doesn't comply. A person who has fully claimed themselves is difficult to control.

That version of you that you have been hiding, thats who you need to get back to.

This means being authentically yourself. This feels uncomfortable at first because for so long you've been playing a role that was never you. This readjusting can feel like self-betrayal. But that's your ego fucking with you. It doesn't want to lose it's hold over you.

Lean into the discomfort of being yourself unapologetically. If they don't like it, fuck them!

The person you were always meant to be isn't someone new. They have always been within you, hiding beneath everything you were told you had to be to be accepted.
