I still remember being postpartum and not being able to do a single push-up on my toes
 never mind a pull-up. I started with one simple goal: 10 push-ups. It took me a year of consistent training to get there, and that moment meant so much more than just doing 10 push-ups. It showed me what’s possible when you keep showing up. Then came the pull-ups and chin-ups

Yes, it’s hard. But no one is forcing you to be healthy. You want this. You want to feel strong. You want to see what you’re capable of. You want to push yourself, grow, and become the best version of you. You chose to do this. You get to do this. Remember, not everyone has the opportunity, the ability or the choice to move their body, fuel it well and work towards feeling their best. So when it gets hard, shift your perspective. It’s not about how many steps you get in during this challenge. It’s about showing up, making the commitment, and proving to yourself that you can do hard things. It’s about prioritising your health, keeping promises to yourself, and doing the best you can, whatever that looks like for you. And that’s something I believe in with training, too. I love training alongside people who are stronger than me. It’s humbling, it pushes me outside my comfort zone, and I always walk out better than I walked in. Surround yourself with people who challenge you. Put yourself in situations that push you. And most importantly, keep showing up for yourself. Because progress isn’t always about being the strongest, the fastest or getting the most steps. Sometimes, it’s simply about showing up when you could have given up. Show up. Do your best. You think you don’t have enough time to get a workout in today? That thought process might actually be what’s holding you back from achieving your goals. You don’t need an hour in the gym to make progress. You can get a great workout in just 10 minutes, with or without dumbbells. Here’s a quick full body workout you can try today. Squat, reverse lunge on the right, squat, reverse lunge on the left. Narrow grip push up, wide grip push up, narrow grip push up, wide grip push up. Do these on your toes or on your knees. Finish with V crunches, reaching towards your toes and slowly lowering back down. Set a timer for 50 seconds to 1 minute per exercise and aim for 3 rounds. You should be able to get it done in around 10 minutes. The key is consistency. When you learn to fit movement into even your busiest days, you start building habits that actually last. Over time, that consistency can help you build muscle, reduce body fat and improve your overall health in ways that go far beyond how you look. You don’t need to have the perfect schedule or wait until you have more time. You just need to start with what you have.
