Back to shooting film now that my camera is repaired. . . . Film Stock: Lazy Monochrome D&S by: @lazyfilmlab . . . #filmphotography #filmisnotdead #yourfilmcamera #lazyfilmlab #35mm by @the.solitary.owl
Recently after shooting two rolls of film back-to-back, I realised my camera had acquired an issue that was not there previously: there was a slit on the shutter curtain, causing light to leak onto the film in a line at one side and damage the image. Naturally, it ruined my mood for some time, as I only realised this issue after getting both of these rolls developed, and these were the most properly exposed rolls I've shot, probably ever. I tried everything to cover these light leaks: clone, heal, generative fill, magic eraser, but every one of those looked more fake than the previous. And I loved some of these frames too much to discard them, especially cause I loved the colours I got in this particular roll of expired Fuji Superia 800. Expired rolls don't get better than this (believe me, I have experience). So long story short, here are those "imperfect" shots with light leaks in them, from first of the rolls. . . I know a Kolkata edit with the Piku theme is not very original, but wanted to make this since I returned from my Kolkata trip this past December. Only managed to do so today. My favourite part about the trip were the streets, the food, and especially the various modes of transport this city has to offer, so you will see mostly that in this reel. Also, shoutout to @_abbhyyee_ for joining me in this trip. So, here's to Yellow Taxis, Horse chariots(literally), and to the last Tram(from what I heard) running through the streets of the City of Joy. . . . #kolkata #storiesofkolkata #tram by @the.solitary.owl
