Ever find yourself completely EXHAUSTED… and realize it’s not even life itself, but everything going on inside your own head?! 🫠

The overthinking. The self-doubt. The imaginary scenarios. The constant need to figure EVERYTHING out.

And my personal favorite… trying to control things that were never mine to control in the first place. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Lately, I’ve been asking myself… How much peace have I sacrificed simply by believing the stories I tell myself?

And more importantly, where am I leaving room to let God be God?

My newest Substack article, “How Exhausting It Is to Believe the Lies We Tell Ourselves,” is a little reflection on faith, fear, self-doubt, and learning to quiet that voice in our heads.

Because maybe the most exhausting part of life isn’t always what we’re going through… but what we’re telling ourselves about it.

🤎 If you’ve ever been your own worst critic (hello, it’s me! 😂), I think this one’s for you.

What if your life doesn’t actually need to change… but the way you’re living it does? 🤍

Lately, I’ve been realizing that peace isn’t something we find when everything finally falls into place. It’s something we learn to create within ourselves, even when life feels uncertain.

After everything I’ve recently experienced, I’m beginning to understand things I thought I already knew. Funny how life can shake you to your core and somehow leave you seeing everything a little more clearly.

I’m learning to release control, protect my peace, appreciate the ordinary moments, and trust God a little more along the way.

And honestly? I’m still wondering why it took such a scary experience for some of these lessons to finally sink in. 😅

I poured these reflections into my newest Substack article:

“Maybe Your Life Doesn’t Need to Change. Maybe the Way You’re Living It Does.”

If you’ve been feeling a shift within yourself lately, this one’s for you.

A little life update… 🤍

I’ve been feeling called to create a space where I can share more than just the pretty corners of my home.

A space for honest conversations about faith, life, motherhood, mental health, the unexpected seasons we walk through, and everything in between.

So… I started a Substack! 🥹

My very first article, “STORYTIME! When Things Got Real…”, is now live.

I’m sharing something deeply personal about a recent health scare that completely shifted my perspective on life. The fear, the uncertainty, the overwhelming love, and the unexpected peace I found in the middle of it all.

I believe God has been working through this chapter in ways I’m only beginning to understand, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of that journey.

This new space won’t be about having everything figured out. It’ll be about showing up as I am, sharing what I’m learning, and hopefully connecting with others along the way.

I’d love for you to be part of it.

Come read my first story and subscribe to follow along. The link is in my bio. 🤍

Here’s to new chapters, honest conversations, and finding beauty in the unexpected.

Organic interiors that create a feeling-duh by @the_art_of_nesting

In a world where we’re constantly watching everyone else’s highlight reels, it’s so easy to look at someone else’s success and wonder why we’re not there yet. We compare our beginning to someone else’s chapter ten and forget that they had a season of figuring it out, too.

I’m learning to give myself grace in this season—to grow, to learn, to make mistakes, to change direction, and to keep showing up even when the progress feels slow or like there’s none at all.

Not everything has to happen overnight. Some dreams need time to become what they’re meant to be. We also need to allow for time for God to move. In this chapter of my life:I’m working onBeing still to allow God to work instead of trying to control everything as if I have that much power

So if you’re building something right now, give yourself permission to be a beginner. Give yourself room to grow. And most importantly, don’t let someone else’s timeline make you question yours. 🤎

Tonight’s dinner: Baked Feta Salmon Pasta

You’ll need:

* 4 salmon fillets
* 1 block feta cheese (about 8 oz)
* 1½–2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
* 8–12 oz pasta — penne, rigatoni, bowtie, or your favorite
* 3–4 tablespoons olive oil
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1–2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon paprika
* Salt & black pepper
* Red pepper flakes, optional
* Fresh basil or parsley, optional
* ½ cup reserved pasta water
* Lemon, optional but great with the salmon

How to make it

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Put the salmon fillets in a large baking dish. Place the block of feta in the center and scatter the tomatoes around everything.
2. Season it. Drizzle the tomatoes, feta, and salmon generously with olive oil. Sprinkle the salmon with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Add the minced garlic around the tomatoes. If you like a little heat, add red pepper flakes.
3. Bake for about 15–20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon. The salmon should reach 145°F internally. If the salmon finishes before the tomatoes and feta are as roasted as you’d like, remove the salmon and give the feta/tomatoes another 5–10 minutes.
4. While that’s baking, cook your pasta according to the package directions. Before draining it, save about ½ cup of pasta water.
5. Remove the salmon from the baking dish temporarily. Mash the roasted tomatoes and feta together with a fork or spoon until they turn into a creamy sauce. Stir in a splash of pasta water until you get the consistency you want.
6. Add the cooked pasta directly to the baking dish and toss it really well in that creamy feta-tomato sauce.
7. Break the salmon into large chunks and gently fold it into the pasta. I wouldn’t stir too aggressively—you want those nice pieces of salmon rather than completely shredding it.
8. Finish with fresh basil or parsley, black pepper, and a squeeze of lemon over the top.

One upgrade I’d made: I added a couple handfuls of fresh spinach when you mix the hot pasta into the feta sauce. It’ll wilt right into it and works really well with the salmon by @the_art_of_nesting
