Looking for things to do in October across Floral Park? I've got the entire month covered for you. 📍

From the Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Parade on October 4th (yes, that's a real Floral Park tradition) to a quiet Saturday morning pitching in at the Centennial Gardens & Bird Sanctuary "Weed Out" on October 3rd, there's a lot happening this month that's actually worth putting on the calendar.

Racing fans: Belmont Park kicks off its Breeders' Cup prep weekend October 3rd too — just minutes from West End and Hillcrest.

Grab a coffee at Rivers Cafe, plan a dinner at Trinity, and walk it off along the paths at Centennial Gardens. I pulled the best of it into one place so you don't have to hunt it all down yourself.

Save this for when you need a plan, and send it to the person you're making October plans with.

And if you want even more ideas for the season, I've got a much bigger list ready for you.

Comment FALL and I'll send you my free 2026 Floral Park Fall Guide with local events, seasonal favorites, and things worth adding to your calendar.

I'm @the_beautifulagent, a local real estate agent sharing what's happening around town and the places worth knowing about.

Fall things to do in Floral Park, NY are officially taking over my calendar. 🗓️

I’m talking the Floral Park Halfway to St Paddys Day Parade, a pumpkin spice latte (or an apple cider donut run), an autumn stroll through Alley Pond Park, and so much more.

Swipe for the fall plans I’d start with and comment FALL for my full guide with events, road trips, restaurants, local favorites, and everything else worth knowing about this fall.

Bright outdoor lighting deters intruders and increases safety around your home. Here's how to make the most of it:

✅ Install motion sensor lights to automatically brighten areas when movement is detected
✅ Light up entryways, garages, and dark corners
✅ Use timer-controlled lights to make your home appear occupied when you're away

🏡 Well-lit exteriors can help you stay safe and secure at all hours!

🚓🚒🚑 Today is about the people who run toward the emergency when everyone else is trying to get away.

On First Responders Day, we’re recognizing the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and other first responders who show up for their communities—often on the hardest days, at the hardest moments.

Their job takes courage. Their commitment takes heart. And the impact they have on the communities they serve goes far beyond what most of us ever see.

Today, we’re taking a moment to recognize the people who are there when their community needs them most. ❤️

I know I post on Instagram, but the kind of influence I care about has very little to do with views.

I want what I share to actually be useful.

Sometimes that means helping someone think differently about a real estate decision. Sometimes it means sharing the local places, routines, and little favorites that make Floral Park feel more like home.

Because I’m not here just to talk about houses.

I want people to feel more confident about their next move and more connected to the place they live while they’re here.

If something I post helps you do either of those things, then it did its job.

And if you ever want to talk through your own situation, my DMs are always open.

I’m @the_beautifulagent, a local real estate agent sharing real estate advice and local insight that’s actually meant to help.
