Well it's been just over a month in my new roll and people have reminded me that I haven't actually told you what position I got! I'm hoping it's pretty obvious with the pictures I've posted, I was so excited when these came in, and I figured it would be a great way to announce it! I accepted a position with the Grande Prairie & District Chamber Of Commerce as their Membership & Sponsorship Coordinator. This position is such a great fit that it was pretty easy to say YES. I still get to stay in the Entrepreneur Space and serve and build the community. Grande Prairie is a great place to live and being an active part of the thriving Business Community has always been enjoyable. So like I said before, I'm not disappearing, you might in fact, see me even more! I will still operate Shade Tree Chocolate Studio, but I have decided to move into a B2B model, keeping standing corporate orders and taking on other large bulk projects. As a last note, look at the view from my office! I love working in a pretty building! And to do my job... if you have any questions about Chamber Membership, please reach out, I'd be happy to help! by @the_chocolate_dragon
This is probably the last if the really cool colorful chocolate stuff I'll get to work on for a while. Appreciating the time today that I get to paint before I jump into my new job next week. #chocolateart #artisanchocolate #ihaveareallycooljob by @the_chocolate_dragon
Omg I FOUND IT (again) @Dawn Morris Blackburn will known what this is! I went to costuming school in 2000. And this was one of the ongoing projects we had to do. It's a whole sample book of different techniques we learned in the first year. I think this is one of the projects I often remember and am the most proud of. I am so happy that I actually rook the time to think about hownit would be used as a reference in the future so did the project is coordinating colours. 25 years later and I am still so proud of this. Christy Greenwood Jooky Jok Gina Schellenberg do you guys still have your binders? Show me if you do! :D by @the_chocolate_dragon
So I don't often post what I'm doing over at Shade Tree on my person account, cause honestly, I am just trying to get it posted on my business account and continue with the rest of my day. That being said... sometimes I think I'm funny, and I think we've found a great solution to some frustrations at my studio. Here's some learning experiences from this week! This is what I posted under the above picture :) Being a business owner is NEVER boring. ---------- We promised to have more Caramel Apples Farmer's Market this weekend (and we still will) BUT! Since we are new to this, we ran into some unexpected "learning experiences". DON'T WORRY! The apples taste great! Problem #1: Did you know that you can, in fact, get apples that are TOOOO big? Yeah, we just discovered what too big is! (Ask us why at the market) Problem #2: we are still nailing down the Caramel for the apples. This batch ended up being too firm. What you CAN'T do is eat the apples off the stick. What you CAN do is take them home, cut them into pieces and enjoy every last bite. They also taste great if you cut them and microwaved them for about 15 seconds. Joanne and I really enjoyed splitting our test apple, and ate every last bite. This weekend only, we will be selling these apples at a reduced price. Market Hours are Friday 4pm - 7pm Saturday 10am - 3pm #learningexperiences #Caramelapples #Lovelocalgp grab by @the_chocolate_dragon
I only just looked at this picture when I wanted to post it and realized that Rayne was pulling that face. So, yeah... that's one of mine. We're in Edmonton visiting my family. I didn't get any picture of going out dancing last night (cause I was too busy dancing) but I managed to track down @if_ksmith and @tamara_kizcollective at Hawrelak Park at the reopened play structure. It was great to see them and spend a bit of time keep children from being flung off the merry-go-round (they're family is in town visiting). Tamara said that Herritage Days was moving back to the park. We have some EXCELLENT memories of performing at Herritagr Days back in the day. Maybe it's worth another trip down to take the kids. by @the_chocolate_dragon
At our monthly Art night Olivia (So Seona) showed us her skill and took us step by step through making this little dish with traditional Korean paper art (Hanji 한지). As well as making a keychain. She did the heavy lifting by actually having all the paper parts cut out, and I can't belive I got 2 whole projects done! I really enjoyed myself so much, also learned a lot. Was a relaxing night and we had a great time! The class was so well laid out and delivered! Thank you so much @ondo.papercrafts! by @the_chocolate_dragon
Due to some previously booked events, and moving into Christmas Party Booking season, our EnTangled Wednesdays are being out in Hold until January! @92bevco by @the_chocolate_dragon

We're doin it! And you're invited! Starting up another dance night after years and years away from it. @sarah.top87 moved to Edmonton and there is still a need in GP to dance, so once again @n_simigan and I are are dusting off our heels and starting up a dance night. We start next week, Wednesday September 17 @92bevco 8pm with a lesson and dancing from 8:45 to 10:30..... cause yeah.... we got work in the morning. 92Bev co has some pre-booked events to get through for a few wendesdays, so EnTangled Wednesdays won't be completely regular for about a month. We'll let you know the dates shortly. Please spread the word, Come to the mini class, even if you've already got some experience. This is the community building part. The evening by donation, and please consider coming with the intent to support 92Bev Co as well. They have a delicious cocktail and mocktail menue. by @the_chocolate_dragon
Making these for Grande Con next week! I usually make them for Halloween, but since these Beholders already tie in so well with Dungeons and Dragons, hey are perfect or Grande Con too. This picture looks so cool I had to show you. by @the_chocolate_dragon
I'll make a more formal announcement but..... might as well throw this up while I have a picture of it and I'm thinking about it.... Come out dancing in Grande Prairie on Wednesdsy September 17 @92bevco Yeah... we're starting up dance nights again! For all my friends in Peace Country Dance Club, I SPECIFICALLY chose Wednesdays so it wouldn't conflict with your schedule.
