I planned to get a haircut - that’s the familiar cycle I’ve been in with my hair since I first cut it in 2005. Cut it, grow it back, it gets too hard to manage, I cut it again AND repeat 🔁. But the thought of repeating a thing because I don’t care to be challenged wasn’t appealing to me today…I’m growing 🌱

New Month, New Focus 🧠🌱

I’ve come to realize that the human brain—our personal hard drive—shapes every part of how we live. What we store there matters. So this month, I’m initiating a *mental factory reset* to replace limiting beliefs that have caused me to settle for less than I truly desire. My focus is on self-awareness and identifying anything that could hinder my mind renewal process.

I started The Comma Life as a certified life coach in 2019, as a way to #empower and #honor victims of #domesticabuse. I wanted to coach women through the aftermath of abuse. I felt that my own story should be shared so she’d know #she wasn’t alone and could create a beautiful after life; but eventually everything became too difficult to navigate so I quit.

I could’ve chosen to see this personal failure as the end, but I opted to see it as a detour. I took time to reflect and understand the ways I could’ve better managed it, while still being everything I am. So this time, I’m back…trying again to #encourage, #inspire and #impact ALL women. And this time it’s about more than just domestic violence. It’s doing what we can to create the life we want despite life’s demands and struggles. Can I get an #amen?

I hope you’re encouraged to try again too, Sis. You are not a failure, my friend 💕👑. So just keep going 👣!

I work remote Monday through Friday, and while I love the flexibility, I miss physical interaction with humans so much. That’s why I look forward to rehearsals with @lfintercession every week. I get all the hugs I can stand on a Tuesday!

Doctors say we need:

🌱 4 hugs a day for survival

🌱🌱 8 hugs a day for maintenance

🌱🌱🌱 12 hugs a day for growth.

Hi, my name is Candace and I’m single over 40 🫣

I used to be ashamed of this fact, but here’s the truth: I’ve repeatedly tried to live my life according to society’s standards, and I’m still single…as hell 🤭

My hope is to create a community of women connected by our unique life experiences. Whether you’re #married, #single, looking, happy, sad, an #entrepreneur, employee, a student or whatever hat you wear, may this be a #safe space for you to share and learn.

We wear so many hats and sometimes, we’re all so focused on how pretty our masks are that we forget to take proper care of the woman behind the mask. I’ve grown to understand #selfcare is much more important than the constant refining of the masks we wear for our families, clients, colleagues, churches, etc.
