We fear what artificial intelligence might do to humanity tomorrow.

Meanwhile, humans continue hurting one another today.

Humiliation. Exploitation. Violence. Deception.

These are realities we already know.

AI brings genuine dangers that deserve serious safeguards.

And human suffering deserves our attention right now.

Why are we so fascinated by what machines might become while overlooking what humans are already doing?

Perhaps the examination of humanity needs to begin with ourselves.

What will artificial intelligence become?

We keep asking this question.

And what kind of humanity is building it?

Our values, ambitions, conditioning and decisions influence the systems we create.

Technology deserves responsible development and safeguards.

Humanity deserves an equally serious examination of itself.

Before questioning the intelligence we're creating, how deeply are we questioning our own wisdom?

We are investing billions in artificial intelligence.

And how much attention are we giving to human wisdom, ethics and compassion?

Technology is becoming increasingly capable.

Are we becoming increasingly responsible?

A powerful tool in the hands of someone lacking wisdom can amplify harm.

I embrace AI and its possibilities.

I also question the humanity guiding its development and use.

What good is greater intelligence without greater wisdom?

We fear machines following dangerous instructions.

Yet how often do we humans follow patterns we absorbed years ago?

Our upbringing. Our culture. Our experiences. Our conditioning.

We learn what to fear, whom to trust and how to behave.

And sometimes we continue following those lessons without questioning them.

AI and humans learn in profoundly different ways.

Still, the question remains.

How many of my thoughts and reactions are truly conscious choices?

Perhaps Words with Courage begins by questioning the scripts we have inherited.

Helpful. Honest. Harmless.

Three qualities we want from artificial intelligence.

Now consider our own behaviour.

How often do we deceive, manipulate, humiliate or hurt another human being?

We want technology to behave responsibly.

What about the humans designing, deploying and using it?

Perhaps the examination begins with ourselves.

We fear AI destroying humanity.

Yet humanity has been hurting, exploiting and destroying itself for centuries.

I embrace technology. I use AI. I recognise its possibilities and its dangers.

My concern is how readily we blame technology while overlooking human decisions.

The tools matter. The risks matter. Human responsibility matters.

What kind of humanity are we bringing into the age of artificial intelligence?

The words I speak to myself matter.

When I stumble, those words either deepen my suffering or guide me towards peace.

I am learning to pause, notice my inner dialogue and respond with love and self-compassion.

I am also learning to face life's difficulties with equanimity.

It takes practice. And many times I stumble while practising.

That too is part of being human.

Knowing is one thing. Living it is another.

I can speak about compassion, gratitude and equanimity.

And when life becomes difficult, I still struggle to practise them with myself.

The knowledge is there.

The conditioning is there too.

I am learning to notice my reactions, become less harsh with myself and offer myself the compassion I encourage in others.

Knowing matters. Living it matters even more.

My death is only a breath away.

And still, I spend so much energy worrying about what might happen, regretting what has happened and being harsh with myself when I stumble.

I am learning to be grateful for what I have, to face my troubles with equanimity and to treat myself with love and self-compassion.

It's a rough and tough journey.

I stumble. I learn. I return.

And I am still learning to find peace within.

Welcome to the world of misleaders.

They use fear to force obedience, humiliation to silence others and authority to impose their will.

And the damage they leave behind can last for years.

A leadership title gives authority. It never guarantees character, wisdom or compassion.

Real leadership demands Courage, Clarity, Conviction and Compassion.

Fear may create obedience. It never creates genuine respect.

Are we recognising leaders or rewarding misleaders?

The longevity obsession. What nonsense.

We are selling the dream of living longer while billions still struggle to access essential healthcare.

According to the WHO and World Bank, 4.6 billion people were not fully covered by essential health services in 2023.

Medical progress matters. So does living with dignity TODAY.

What good is the promise of additional years if we neglect the quality of the years people are already living?

Are we extending healthy lives, or creating another luxury market built around the fear of ageing?

Longer life. For whom?

One misunderstood instruction can waste hours.

One humiliating remark can silence someone who has something important to say.

And when people stop asking questions, reporting mistakes or raising concerns, the consequences reach far beyond the conversation.

Communication carries responsibility.

Courage. Clarity. Conviction. Compassion.

What are your words creating in the people who hear them?
